Responsibilities & Context:
  1. Ensuring the housekeeping department is kept informed of essential company information through effective communication methods such as: department meetings, daily line ups, AM/PM reports, log books, and ensuring company information visible and accessible to all staff.

  2. To assist in preparing yearly capital and operational budgets for guest supplies, cleaning supplies and equipment.

  3. To ensure service and production is provided in the proper manner, and with the usual high standards of a Golden Tulip The GrandMark - Dhaka.

  4. To insure maximum service, quality, efficiency and productivity.

  5. To monitor daily assignments to insure that proper quotas and standards are maintained.

  6. To establish safe working conditions and practices.

  7. To participate actively (as required,) in physical inventories of all uniforms, linens (including food and beverage) and supplies.

  8. To organize and participate in meetings with all staff on a regular basis.

  9. T oversees the start of housekeeping shifts in the morning and evening.

  10. To participate in the monitoring of cost management as it pertains to inventories, issue of supplies, labor and energy.

  11. To review all work orders submitted and ensure all orders are handled in a timely.

  12. To assist in periodically reviewing, re-evaluating and revising departmental procedures and job descriptions, supplies, equipment and labor standards, as needed.

  13. To ensure all security policies and procedures are observed in all departments and areas of responsibilities (e.g., keys, linen room, linen closets, and storage closets.)

  14. To coordinate with the outside laundry to ensure that Room Linen/terry, guest clothing and staff uniforms are correctly processed and returned in a timely manner.

  15. To monitor and perform inventories weekly / monthly. Ensure enough guest supply, linen supply and uniform.

  16. Delegate assignments and supervise all housekeeping staffs.

  17. To maintain clear and efficient communication and coordination with the Front Office and other departments.

  18. To maintain scheduling, training, development and counseling of staff.
