Job Context:
∎ Department : Health-Mobile Medical Unit (MMU)
∎ Starting date : As soon as possible
∎ Contract Type : Fixed Term Contract
∎ The Health Officer (Pharmacist) will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Health Delegate in the ICRC`s Office in Cox`s Bazar.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensures medicine dispense according to guidelines and prescription of the doctors
∎ Explains the proper usage/ time/ dose of each medication to the patients.
∎ Ensures medicine stock management for the assigned Medical Mobile Unit.
∎ Keeps records for medicine consumption and update registers regularly.
∎ Maintains proper temperature and humidity for medicine store
∎ Timely produces procurement request maintaining buffer stocks
∎ Takes timely measures to avoid stock-out and expiry of medicines and supplies
∎ Prepares pharmaceutical inventory for supplies and maintains the stock list.
∎ Check and control the rational distribution of medicines and equipment under his/her responsibility and disinfection and sterilization of the medical material. Assure general compliance with standing hygiene standards.
∎ Knows and ensures all standard medical protocols are followed and implemented, checking universal precautions are followed at all times and reducing bio-hazard risks and improving infection control.
∎ Contributes to analysing the humanitarian, political and security environment to identify the additional health needs in the camps and regularly provisions oral/written reports on any related changes in the situation;
∎ Contributes to the definition, implementation, and monitoring of the broader health strategy in CXB AoR, in coordination with the health delegate, health coordinator, and SD management
∎ Helps to prepare, report on, and follow internal and external meetings per necessary
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years' experience in pharmacy and dispensing work
∎ Professional requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 years of work experience in relevant field in the humanitarian sector
∎ Languages: Excellent fluency in spoken and written English & fluency in local language (Bangla, Chittagonian)
∎ Computer skills: Excellent and proven command of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
∎ Other skills: Evaluation, Analysis, and Results-Based Management.
∎ Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment.
