Role Summary

The Head of Research & Development (R&D) will lead the strategic direction, innovation, and scientific excellence of the company’s R&D function. This role is responsible for driving new product development, analytical research, technology transfer, regulatory-compliant documentation, and continuous improvement to ensure a strong and competitive product pipeline. The position requires a visionary leader with deep pharmaceutical expertise and the ability to manage multidisciplinary scientific teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company’s long-term R&D strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and market needs.

• Manage all phases of product development - from early research, preclinical studies, formulation, and scale-up to final regulatory submission.

• Ensure all R&D activities adhere to national and international regulatory requirements (International & local regulatory authorities).

• Drive innovation by adopting new scientific technologies, methodologies, and platforms to enhance productivity and quality.

• Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Management department to ensure seamless product development and launch.

• Develop high-performing scientific teams; foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.

• Prepare and manage R&D budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective project execution.

• Prioritize research projects, set timelines, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables.

• Establish and manage collaborations with academic institutions and scientific partners to support research objectives.

• Review scientific data, assess risks, and make evidence-based decisions to advance the development pipeline.
