Job Context:
∎ The Head of Microenterprise is a senior staff of RDRS Bangladesh and works under direct supervision and guidance of the Senior Director (Microfinance). The position holder is expected to have an in-depth knowledge about Microenterprise, Microfinance and Economic development issues of Bangladesh and have demonstrated technical & managerial skills.
∎ This position is responsible for strategic decisions, policies and procedures and profitable sustainability of the program in the context of RDRS strategy. S/he will also develop the business plan, set annual target, mobilize human resources, monitor performance, prepare financial statements, performance reports, audit reports etc. in respect of the program. S/he also ensure effective administration, implementation, monitoring, follow-up and supervision of all staff and activity of RDRS Microenterprise Program. S/he will deal with relevant financing agencies both government and private to borrow and repay fund for RDRS in consultation with Sr. Director (MF).
∎ This position is based at Dhaka with need for frequent field visit. As program head s/he is responsible for effective functioning of the sector in conformity with RDRS policy strategy and manuals.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Strategic Management
∎ Formulation of strategic plan and business plan;
∎ Frame modify and amend policy for Micro-enterprise in line with savings and credit operational policy and procedures to cope with the changing socio-economic context and considering the demand of the clients;
∎ Organize and oversee the impact of Micro-Enterprise Program in clients’ development and employment creation. Also, explore new ideas for developing policy, system and procedures for the betterment of enterprises and the program;
∎ Lead Microenterprise program, ensuring processes that incorporate input from field teams, other sectors and key external partners;
∎ Lead to the development and implementation of the overall RDRS Enterprise Plan.
∎ 2. General Management and Administration:
∎ Organize monitoring and supervising Micro-enterprise field operation;
∎ Ensure that respective policies and procedures are properly followed
∎ Monitor the progress of micro-enterprise operation and give feedback and guidance to respective staff;
∎ Conduct organize meeting workshop, seminar on Micro-enterprise issues in coordination with other colleagues;
∎ Make regular field visit to monitor program activities and give direction in solving problems;
∎ Represent RDRS Micro-enterprise program in external forums and networks;
∎ Maintain liaison with other senior colleagues within the organization to establish congenial atmosphere for positive working environment.
∎ 3. Financial Management and reporting
∎ Ensure effective fund management and mobilization from various sources (PKSF, Banks, etc.) in consultation with other colleagues for smooth program operation;
∎ Prepare regular financial statements and analyze as per need of the program;
∎ Ensure submission of financial and monitoring reports to donors, government, PKSF and other financial intermediaries as per demand and need;
∎ Formulation of annual budget (financial) of program operation in consultation with finance and annual plan of operation in consultation with all other colleagues
∎ Ensure safe records of related documents at every level
∎ Develop & implement yearly plan of operation with detailed budget under Microenterprise sector;
∎ Supervise, coordinate, and check the annual/quarterly/monthly planning/progress of field activities; ensure timely flow of information to Region, Sectoral Head as well as to M&E Unit;
∎ Plan and conduct regular/special meeting with concerned staff and other sectors and maintaining follow-up for the implementation of the planned activities agreed in the meeting;
∎ Ensure that the implementation team is fully oriented regarding program planning and strategy;
∎ Coach, train, and mentor staff with the aim of strengthening their technical capacity, exchanging knowledge within the team, and providing professional development guidance.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ At least 15 years experience in Microfinance/Bank/Financial institution of which 5 years in senior management position.
∎ Sound knowledge on Microfinance/ Microenterprise, Global development issues and Global Economy etc.
∎ Excellent budgeting skills;
∎ Liaison capacity with different Financial institutions/donors and GO/ NGO;
∎ Very good in computer;
∎ Excellent presentation skill.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 100000 - 170000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary is negotiable

∎ Festival Bonus: 2
∎ Each festival is equivalent to one basic salary
