• Lead, supervise, and monitor the overall activities of the Commercial Department.

• Guide and support the commercial team to ensure seamless execution of Import, Export, Export Documentation, Trade Finance, Banking, Customs, Bond, Licenses, C&F, Cash Incentive, Transportation, and related operations.

• Execute all regulatory formalities related to BEPZA, BGMEA, CUSTOMS, EPB, VAT, Etc. 

• Must have 15 years’ working experience in the commercial department with a in Commercial Section in both Import and Export operation of large export oriented RMG units. EPZ experience is a must related to time and deadline bindings.

• Fully capable of communicating customs, Bond, Vat, Export, Import C&F, Shipping line and other statutory authorities. 

• Must be hardworking, highly organized deadline oriented, honest and dedicated and self-motivated. 

• Have excellent skills and ability to work under pressure. 

• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills with pleasant personality. 

• Must have knowledge about the UCP-600, ICC rules for international transaction.  

• Must be well conversant in scrutinizing the Export/Import LC / SC terms & conditions. 

• Must have experience in working with banks, BEPZA, EPB, BGMEA, Customs, Shipping line, Freight forward and C&F. 

• Must have experience in preparing Import LC / Sales contract opening documents (sight/EDF/usance) as per terms of Proforma Invoice of Supplier. 

• Must have experience in preparing Export documents as per L/C terms, submit to Bank and negotiate/Purchase them and follow-up till the repatriation of the document value.  

• Must have experience in maintaining passbook, Bond Register, Customs audit and related works in bond Commissionerate.

• Ensure licenses are up-to-date and commercial proceedings are adhered to trade & custom laws/procedure.

• Ensure smooth operations of shipment as well as fund management activities in coordination with various departments like Marketing & Merchandising, Accounts & Finance etc.

• Establish effective communication channels with forwarders, shipping companies, logistics providers, government offices, local liaison offices of the buyer, audit firms, banks, etc. to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods and other operations.

• Verify and manage all necessary documentation for import and export, including packing lists, invoices, bills of landing, and certificates of origin.

• Oversee the opening and management of LCs/ SC, ensure timely payment realizations, and handle any related issues with banks.

• Keep accurate records of all import and export transactions and prepare reports for management.

• Ensure Utilization Declaration are collected from respective authorities timely for smooth export of goods.

• Responsible for collecting related documents and timely submission of those for bill realization.

• Ensure all types of payment realization & disbursement of the funds in a timely manner.

• Subcontract permission on time from EPZ and Customs authorities.
