Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strong controlling lead
∎ Full assessment of existing controlling areas of improvements in the Dhaka office
∎ Develop waterproof procedure to regain full control on all finance related areas
∎ Provide necessary training and guidance to local team to ensure understanding of controlling requirements and full implementation of developed procedures
∎ Continuous monitoring of cost evolution and expected progression
∎ Leading the full budget process, delivering comprehensive and adequate information to the Waterloo head office.
∎ Develop/improve budget monitoring & reporting tool that will give the right information to the management team.
∎ Robust financial accounting process
∎ Assessment of existing financial processes, both on completeness and accuracy levels
∎ Establish, maintain and continuously improve financial procedures, in accordance with Corporate requirements
∎ Ensure financial accounting alignment with local legislation/accounting policy as well as with head office requirements.
∎ Deliver monthly financial results, including full analysis and guidance to management
∎ Ensure right people are positioned in the organization to guarantee effective communication with the Waterloo team
∎ Maintain Assets List when purchased
∎ Foster collaboration between Dhaka & head office in Waterloo
∎ Develop/enhance the right mindset within the Supply Chain/Planning department to create and continuously improve a collaborative culture
∎ Become the TCG spokesman to the Group in the planning area, understanding and integrating specific requests in our processes and sharing best practice.
∎ Beside Country Manager, act as a leader in the organization
∎ As head of Finance & Controlling, challenge any detected non-compliant attitude or process, implement corrective actions and follow-up on implementation.
∎ Build understanding on what are the business-related risks and adopt a pro-active attitude to eliminate or mitigate those risks
∎ People development
∎ Full assessment of available resources in terms of skills, potential and motivation
∎ Propose realistic action plan to improve financial department's robustness
∎ Set S.M.A.R.T. objectives for the team and hold people accountable
∎ MAIN INTERFACES
∎ Waterloo head office: finance, operations
∎ Internal in Dhaka: all departments
Additional Requirements:
∎ KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
∎ The Finance/Controlling Manager must have a proven successful track record of having implemented robust processes in environments where control is usually not considered as a priority and where understanding of basics is weak.
∎ Min. 10 years of experience in finance functions, with a minimum of 4 years in Controlling
∎ Experience in multi-cultural environment
∎ Entrepreneurial attitude, addressing emerging issues before they develop
∎ Being pro-active, grasping any opportunity to mitigate existing risk
∎ Proficiency in MS Office tools
∎ Fluent in English; French is an asset
