∎ Modern Syntex Limited, located in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar,BEZA, Mirsarai, Chattogram is a continuous melt to yarn and melt to fiber Project which is currently in its development stage. The manufacturing facility is in its way to establish with the world-renowned technology from Oerlikon, Germany. The manufacturing plant has set its plan to start its commercial operation in 2023 with the capacity to produce 460 Ton man-made fiber/day. To take this challenging journey forward, Modern Syntax Limited is searching for a competent, experienced, energetic and dynamic professional for its “Head of Finance & Accounts” role. Please find details as below:
∎ General Summary:
∎ The incumbent is overall responsible for financial management of the company which includes planning, organizing, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all accounting, treasury, and budgeting functions and ensuring compliance with both internal and external policies and regulations.
∎ Reporting Relations: Reports to CEO/Managing Director of the company. The role directly supervises a vibrant team that includes Manager- Fin. & A/c, Executives and Officers.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting:
∎ Closely work with Business Head on various operational and financial KPI's
∎ Formulate budgeting and reporting and controlling variance analysis of the profit & loss for the business.
∎ Prepare and present monthly financial reports including monthly profit and loss by operative functions/departments, budget vs. actual
∎ Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product diversification to assist Business Head for selecting right direction.
∎ Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.
∎ Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts;
∎ Participate in weekly conference calls with Lenders, Vendors and Executive Leadership Team.
∎ Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
∎ Ensure cash flow management and following up the cash forecast accordingly;
∎ Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation;
∎ Ensure all regulatory compliance relating to the Company Act, Income tax, Corporate Tax, Personal Tax, Tax Return, VAT etc.
∎ Monitor and involve in the production efficiency and correlate with cash forecast efficiency.
∎ Be involved and control the machine deployment and movement.
∎ Negotiate the Commercial-related issues including expenses and Charges with Comparisons.
∎ Negotiate and monitor the Banking issues and ensure company interest from productive relations
∎ Act as the primary contact with external and internal auditors and coordinate all financial matters in response to audits.
∎ Implement and report proper controlling system for both financial and operational activities;
∎ Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data and provide to reporting lines and business head;
∎ Make sure to maintain accuracy, transparency and control in Financial Reporting;
∎ Periodic report presentation to the respective authorities and BOD's (if required)
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7-8 years of experience in relevant field with 2 years of leadership exposure in finance controlling, leading and managing a large manufacturing company.
∎ The candidate should have 4-5 years experiences in administrative position in a large manufacturing organization.
∎ Excellent track record in budget and budget administration, financial, regulatory and compliance reporting required
∎ In-depth understanding of operational issues and policy work at state, national and international levels
∎ Practical financial and management experience in a reputable institution or audit environment.
∎ Demonstrated track record of establishing and managing finance and accounting systems, overseeing and working with audits; and strong familiarity with GAAP, corporate taxes, VAT and other related local regulations.
∎ Understanding of Government of Bangladesh financial, accounting and banking requirements.
∎ Strong organizational and work prioritization skills and attention to detail.
∎ Strong command over both written & verbal communication in English and Bangla
∎ Demonstrated leadership and willingness to focus on team’s growth.
∎ Conceptual, analytical, documentation and presentation skills;
