Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance and Accounting
∎ The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounts, Commerce or BBA-Accounting. A Post Graduate Degree or Masters is an added advantage.
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: Certified Chartered Accountant

∎ 10 to 14 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for developing and implementing financially-sound strategic initiatives directly supporting SHN's mission, strategy map, goals and objectives.
∎ Develops and ensures compliance to approved financial policies across the Clinic network including all divisions, departments and units of SHN.
∎ Oversee the management of the accounting and financial functions, including financial management of the organizations growth through the establishment and implementation of supporting infrastructures (financial systems, finance staff, controls and procedures), ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, local regulation and audit
∎ Serve as a resource to all senior management team member to provide guidelines and oversees the development of the annual budgeting process, program income monitoring, regulatory compliance, business plan including cost allocation.
∎ Support clinics in monitoring and improving the financial and accounting activities, consolidation and finalizing their financial budgets and reports.
∎ Ensures regular and timely dissemination of quality financial data and business information to support informed decision-making processes within SHN
∎ Provides SHN CEO, board and other senior staff members with information on the financial health of the company, capital and resource requirements, financial compliance issues, planning, and tools sufficient to operate. Advises on financial implications of business activities and decisions.
∎ Explores options for portfolio and cash management of SHN funds to optimize return maintaining relationships with banks and other providers of potential financial services.
∎ Holds staff responsible for performing high standards and promotes transparency and accountability at all levels.
∎ Track expenditure, revenue and cost recovery rates of regional offices against targets and seek explanations for variations and take corrective actions as needed.
∎ Act as the primary contact with external and internal auditors and coordinate all financial matters in response to audits.
∎ Undertake all tasks related to convening of SHN board and sub-committee meetings, compilation of working papers, writing minutes of board meetings, compliance with RJSC filing requirements and ensuring compliance with clauses of the company's Articles of Association.
∎ Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience at both operational and senior management levels. Experience in USAID grants management will be preferred.
∎ Excellent track record in budget and budget administration, financial, regulatory and compliance reporting required
∎ Practical financial and management experience in a reputable institution or audit environment.
∎ Demonstrated track record of establishing and managing finance and accounting systems, overseeing and working with audits; and strong familiarity with GAAP, corporate taxes, VAT and other related local regulations.
∎ Understanding of Government of Bangladesh financial, accounting and banking requirements.
∎ Strong command over both written & verbal communication in English and Bangla
∎ Strong organizational and work prioritization skills and attention to detail.
∎ Demonstrated leadership skills and willingness to focus on team's growth.
