Job Context:
∎ Bit Body Bangladesh Limited (BBBL) is a subsidiary of Bit Body, Inc., USA. We manufacture custom made clothing for our clients globally under our own brand MTailor (www.MTailor.com). Some of our products include dress shirts, suits, jeans, khakis and tees.
∎ BBBL is looking for a Head of Finance & Accounts (Senior Manager equivalent) who will report to BD CEO and US Counterpart, supervise all financial & Accounting related tasks of the company.
∎ The mission for this role is to supervise all finance & accounts related tasks of the company, ensure use of capital and resources beneficially, prepare/analyze financial statements and oversee budgeting and forecasting ensuring regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Financial Controls:
∎ Implement reconciliations, dividing the responsibilities and following the GAAP standards of accounting principles with a view toward compliance, fraud and theft prevention.
∎ Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information.
∎ Prepare monthly budgets and monitor the same.
∎ Ensure all program initiatives align with the company’s core values and culture.
∎ Accounting Software (Xero):
∎ Upload all invoices of vendors and other suppliers on a weekly basis in the company's accounting software.
∎ Upload all petty cash transactions in the company's accounting software and attach relevant invoice/receipt in the system.
∎ Categorize all transactions in accounting software so that the financial reports reflect the correct position.
∎ Accounts Payable:
∎ Ensure payments to regular service providers by 5th of every month and other suppliers within agreed terms & conditions.
∎ Handle all payment instructions through BEFTN/RTGS or through cheques.
∎ Petty Cash Management:
∎ Receive and process petty cash payments, manage petty cash funds and handle disbursement.
∎ Commercial & Inventory:
∎ Supervise and manage Commercial and Inventory team.
∎ Ensure all inventories are counted physically and in terms of value from time to time, particularly value at year-end for book closure purposes.
∎ Incentive & Credit Facility:
∎ Claim cash incentive or any other incentive/refunds as declared by the GOB for RMG.
∎ Liaison with commercial banks to maximize the credit facilities and turnaround time.
∎ Financial Reporting:
∎ Quarterly FDI reporting to Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank) through our designated bank.
∎ Legal Compliance:
∎ Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.
∎ Handle all Tax (including payroll taxes) & VAT related issues of the company with the concerned authorities.
∎ Ensure that all licenses are renewed on time.
∎ Coordinate with external auditors to prepare final accounts after audit for submission of tax returns.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The incumbent must be self contributor as well as have supervisory skills
∎ Proven work experience as a Head of Finance & Accounts or similar role
∎ Updated knowledge of IFRS, IAS & US GAAP
∎ In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
∎ Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
∎ Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
∎ Proficiency in accounting software
∎ Solid analytical and decision-making skills
∎ Good understanding of banking system
∎ Must be proficient in Income Tax and VAT law of Bangladesh
∎ Adaptability to changes
∎ High work ethics and values
∎ Leadership Skills
∎ Problem solving attitude
∎ Must be Tech Savvy with great skills in spreadsheet
