Experience:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant field from a reputed university.
Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in retail and card portfolio monitoring, collection, and recovery in a reputed commercial bank.
In-depth understanding of credit operations, recovery laws, and Bangladesh Bank circulars related to retail and card financing.
Demonstrated leadership in developing teams, managing Non-Performing portfolios, and achieving measurable recovery improvements.
Strong analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills with proficiency in MS Excel, data visualization, and MIS reporting.
Proven ability to manage complex recovery portfolios under pressure with professional integrity and sound judgment.

The position demands a dynamic and strategic leader who will drive the overall monitoring and recovery operations of Retail and Card portfolios while nurturing a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and performance excellence within the team. The incumbent will lead by example—developing future leaders equipped with essential soft and hard skills required to manage risk, ensure portfolio health, and sustain recovery growth. This role requires proactive oversight of delinquency trends, formulation of recovery strategies, and institutionalization of best practices to achieve strong asset quality in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, plan, and execute the overall strategy for retail and card portfolio monitoring and NPI recovery.
Establish a robust governance framework to ensure compliance with internal policies and Bangladesh Bank regulations.
Formulate and implement early warning and preventive monitoring mechanisms to mitigate potential risks.
Review and revise recovery strategies, policy guidelines, and operational models based on portfolio performance and market dynamics.
Provide strategic recommendations to management on policy improvement, write-off management, and NPI reduction.
Oversee end-to-end monitoring of the Retail and Card portfolios to ensure adherence to repayment discipline.
Analyze delinquency trends, repayment behaviors, and recovery patterns to identify high-risk segments.
Ensure proper classification, provisioning, and reporting of non-performing Investments (NPIs) as per regulatory requirements.
Prepare detailed MIS, dashboards, and portfolio analytics reports for management and regulatory review.
Drive periodic portfolio review meetings and formulate action plans for underperforming areas.
Direct the recovery team in executing both legal and non-legal recovery strategies.
Oversee negotiation and restructuring efforts with delinquent clients to maximize recovery outcomes.
Strengthen collaboration with the Legal Division to expedite litigation, settlement, and enforcement processes.
Monitor recovery progress and ensure targeted performance in terms of both volume and value recovery.
Build and sustain a learning-oriented team culture focused on integrity, ownership, and continuous skill development.
Coach, mentor, and empower team members to enhance their leadership, communication, and analytical capabilities.
Identify competency gaps and arrange training on negotiation, data analytics, and regulatory compliance.
Foster collaboration across branches and departments to promote knowledge sharing and performance synergy.
Recognize and reward performance excellence to drive motivation and accountability.
Ensure timely submission of accurate reports to senior management and regulators.
Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all recovery and monitoring activities.
