Experience:
Post-Graduation in Commerce/MBA from any UGC approved local or reputable foreign universities with no Third Division at any academic level.
At least 12 years of uninterrupted service experience in Retail Business, or related fields from reputed commercial banks with minimum 05 years’ experience as Card Business Manager or as equivalent position in reputed banks.
Significant experience in a leadership role as Team Leader or similar managerial role.
Sound knowledge in card products and services.
Proven track record in developing and managing successful business strategies.

Proficient in negotiation, persuasion, presentation, communication, and leadership; skilled in inspiring and guiding teams toward exceptional results. Strong in stakeholder management and relationship building across all levels, with strategic vision, customer focus, and collaborative leadership. The incumbent will be responsible for overall strategic planning, development, and management of the Bank’s card business, covering both issuance and acquiring business. The position entails end-to-end business oversight, including product innovation, portfolio growth, operational efficiency, partner management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and implement the overall Card Business Strategy covering debit, credit, prepaid, and Shariah-compliant products.
Set and achieve annual business targets for card issuance, activation, spend, and profitability.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product development and innovation.
Design and enhance card products, loyalty/reward programs, installment facilities, and co-branded partnerships.
Drive digital enablement initiatives such as contactless cards, mobile wallet integration, virtual cards, and e-commerce payment features.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including portfolio growth, activation rate, spend volume, delinquency, and revenue.
Ensure profitability optimization through efficient pricing, fee management, and cost control.
Plan and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to drive card usage and customer engagement.
Analyze customer behavior and transaction data to identify retention, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities.
Monitor end-to-end card operations—including issuance, transaction processing, settlement, chargeback, reconciliation, and dispute management.
Maintain robust risk management and fraud prevention frameworks in coordination with Operations, IT, Risk and relevant Divisions.
Ensure strict compliance with Bangladesh Bank guidelines, PCI-DSS standards, Shariah principles, and internal policies.
Coordinate with MasterCard and other network partners for operational and business development activities.
Manage relationships with vendors, processors, and service providers, ensuring quality service and adherence to SLAs.
Lead, guide, and develop the Card Business Unit team, ensuring a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with Branches, Retail Business, Marketing, IT, and Digital Banking teams for seamless business execution.
Arrange training and awareness programs to strengthen staff knowledge and operational efficiency.
Coordinate and supervise the functions of card business teams and any engaged contractual employees.
Ensure that team leaders provide effective on-the-job training and guidance to newly assigned/recruited officers fostering a productive learning environment and ensuring seamless operational performance.
Prepare and present management reports, and portfolio analyses for strategic decision-making.
