Position Summary:
The Head of Business will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, driving sales growth, managing key client relationships, and building a high-performance team. This role demands a visionary leader with deep expertise in denim washing chemicals, a strong network in the textile & garment industry, and proven success in B2B chemical sales.
Responsibilities:
Lead the overall business strategy and operations of Fashion Chemical Limited (FCL) as distributor of Garmon Chemicals in Bangladesh.
Define the company’s value proposition—e.g., cost-effective auxiliaries, eco-friendly dyes, high-performance finishing agents etc.
Identify and prioritize high-growth areas across Dhaka and other part of Bangladesh and key customer segments (e.g., export-oriented garment factories, denim processors)
Set sales targets aligned with stock and margin goals.
Ensure the sales team is trained on technical selling, especially for specialty chemicals where product performance is key.
Personally engage with strategic clients and large buying houses to build trust and long-term contracts.
Oversee pricing strategies to balance competitiveness with profitability.
Expand distribution networks in underserved areas and explore new areas for business growth.
Explore digital sales platforms or B2B portals for chemical procurement.
Monitor product-wise profitability—high-margin vs. commodity chemicals.
Push for value-added products like low-temperature dyes or water-saving softeners.
Shift focus toward high-margin, low-volume specialty chemicals rather than bulk, low-margin items.
Encourage custom formulations for large clients to increase stickiness and pricing power.
Achieve sales and revenue growth targets by expanding client base and strengthening existing relationships.
Evaluate the sales team performance by Performance-Based KPIs like Revenue vs. target (monthly/quarterly), Profitability of accounts handled, new client onboarding, Repeat order ratio, Collection efficiency (especially in credit-heavy markets)
Coordinate with Garmon global/regional teams for sales, product updates, training, and technical support.
Branding, market positioning, and promotional activities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and import/export policies related to chemicals.
Lead new product trials, client feedback loops, and solution customization.
