Experience:
Bachelor of Business Administration( BBA) in Accounting / Finance.
Master of Business Administration ( MBA) in Accounting / Finance.
Professional Level Qualified/ ACA/ACCA added advantage.
Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
Proven track record of successful financial leadership and team management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company`s business objectives and growth plans.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Monitor financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
Financial Management:
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, payroll, internal controls, inventory, asset management and factory accounts.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Manage cash flow effectively, optimizing the use of financial resources and ensuring liquidity.
VAT and Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all Bangladesh VAT laws, including the accurate calculation, reporting, and payment of VAT.
Oversee the preparation and submission of all statutory tax returns, including corporate tax, VAT, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), and withholding tax.
Implement and maintain robust systems for VAT and tax compliance, including accurate record-keeping and documentation.
Liaise with tax authorities, manage tax audits, and handle any disputes or issues related to VAT and tax.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all local financial regulations, including the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
Conduct regular financial inspections and risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and implement mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the company’s financial objectives.
Provide training and development opportunities to ensure the team remains current with local and international financial practices and regulations.
Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the finance team.
Strategic Business Support:
Partner with department heads to provide financial insights and advice on operational decisions and investment opportunities.
Support strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments, through financial analysis and due diligence.
Serve as a key financial advisor to the senior management team providing insights on financial risks, opportunities, and strategic direction.
