Responsibilities & Context:

The Graphics Designer (DTF Print) is responsible for preparing, managing, and optimizing artwork for Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing. This role directly supports production quality, color accuracy, and timely order fulfillment. The designer works closely with the production team and customer support team to ensure customer-approved designs are print-ready and meet company quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Design & Artwork Preparation

  • Create, edit, and finalize designs specifically optimized for DTF printing.

  • Convert customer-provided artwork into print-ready formats while maintaining design integrity.

  • Ensure proper resolution, color mode (CMYK/RGB as required), and file size for DTF output.

  • Prepare vector and raster files suitable for DTF workflows.

DTF Print Optimization

  • Manage color separation, white underbase, and layering required for DTF prints.

  • Adjust artwork to avoid printing issues such as color bleeding, low opacity, or pixelation.

  • Conduct pre-print checks to ensure designs meet machine and material requirements.

Quality Control

  • Review designs before printing to minimize production errors and wastage.

  • Ensure consistency between approved designs and final printed output.

  • Support rework or corrections when print quality does not meet standards.

Client Coordination

  • Modify designs based on customer feedback and revision requests.

  • Share previews or mockups for customer approval when required.

  • Ensure final approval is received from the client before sending designs for printing.

Production Support

  • Coordinate with the DTF print operator regarding file specifications and print schedules.

  • Maintain organized design files and job records for easy reference.

  • Assist during peak production periods when urgent design adjustments are required.

Software & File Management

  • Use professional design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent.

  • Maintain a structured file-naming and archiving system.

  • Keep updated with DTF printing trends, materials, and best practices.


Reporting & Working Relationship

  • Reports to: Production Manager / Creative Lead

  • Works closely with: DTF Print Operators, Customer Support Team, Sales Team


Performance Expectations

  • High accuracy and minimal print errors

  • Timely delivery of print-ready designs

  • Strong attention to detail in color and layout

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders
