Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare Project Pro-forma (FD-6) as per prescribed format of NGO Affairs Bureau and submit to NGO Affairs Bureau for approval;
∎ Timely respond to queries of NGO Affairs Bureau in obtaining approval/ clearance;
∎ Prepare multi-year budget in FD-6 of RDRS's new projects or extension projects for NGO Bureau in FD-6 format;
∎ Ensure timely response queries from NGOAB and keep abreast with all communications to/from the NGO Affairs Bureau;
∎ Take actions/initiatives to solve outstanding project approval issues with the appropriate NGO Affairs Bureau desk officers;
∎ Ensure compliance with the NGO Affairs Bureau in terms of project approval, yearly fund release and reporting requirements;
∎ Collect, review and prepare Quarterly and Annual Report of RDRS's projects as per prescribed format of NGO Affairs Bureau and submit in obtaining yearly fund clearance;
∎ Coordinate and assist Finance department in preparing audit report (FD-4) of different projects of RDRS as per guideline of NGO Affairs Bureau and submit to NGO Affairs Bureau and Bangladesh Bank;
∎ Prepare the audit query response for NGOAB in coordination of concern project and finance;
∎ Coordinate with the projects/programs, prepare and submit year ending FD-2 and FD-4 for all on-going projects to the NGOAB;
∎ Coordinate with Projects/programs in preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports to NGO Affairs Bureau;
∎ Report to project and Finance Unit for any deviation from the originally proposed budget and recommend for corrective measures as required for each projects;
∎ Day to day liaisons/communication with NGO Affairs Bureau officials;
∎ Ensure timely response to requests/queries from NGO Affairs Bureau and other government agencies as directed by the authority;
∎ Ensure that all memos and documents from NGO Affairs Bureau are maintained in properly documented and well protected;
∎ Update Donor list and RDRS's project information (Short brief of the Project, budget, duration and geographic location);
∎ Assist Communication unit in preparing Project Brief, Annual Report of RDRS Bangladesh;
∎ Maintain project wise NGOAB related information file;
∎ Coordinate with the Program/Project Leaders, Finance and audit team in collecting and compiling information as per GOB requirements;
∎ Obtain Visa/visa extension of foreign delegate/officials of RDRS different project;
∎ The Government Relation Coordinator will also be responsible to perform other functions (not listed above) as may be required and assigned to him/her by the management of RDRS;
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7-8 years of relevant experience in a similar position in any national/international/Government organization/non-governmental organization;
∎ Proven liaison capacity with different Government Officials and agencies;
∎ Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point);
∎ Good interpersonal communication skills and command over English and Bangla both in spoken and written.
