Job Context:
Tamim Group is seeking a seasoned Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience to take the helm of our financial operations. The GM Finance will serve as a strategic partner to the Board, ensuring financial discipline, driving capital efficiency, and leading digital transformation in financial reporting. This role requires a hands-on leader who can execute high-level strategy while ensuring granular compliance and control.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with Tamim Group’s long-term business goals.
Advise the Board of Directors on financial performance, investment risks, and expansion opportunities.
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning; analyze variances and drive corrective actions.
2. Financial Operations
Oversee all accounting, taxation, and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage comprehensive treasury functions: cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and debt financing.
Daily Control: Enforce strict daily cross-checks on petty cash, bank balances, loan interests, and repayments to prevent leakage.
Evaluate fundraising plans and optimize the Group’s capital structure.
3. Compliance, Governance & Risk
Ensure absolute compliance with corporate laws, statutory tax requirements, and internal policies.
Strengthen internal controls and audit processes; act as the primary liaison with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Perform a deep-dive risk management analysis on organizational liabilities and investment exposure.
4. Commercial Growth & CAPEX
Evaluate Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) for plant upgrades and expansion projects via rigorous ROI and feasibility analysis.
Partner with commercial teams on pricing strategies, customer profitability, and contract negotiations.
Provide financial insights to support entry into new markets and product lines.
5. Systems & Team Development
Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP systems to automate and standardize financial reporting.
Mentor and develop the finance team (controllers, treasurers, and analysts), fostering a culture of high performance and integrity.
