Responsibilities & Context:

Management and Financial Reporting

  1. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and Regional Office use in compliance with the Network guidelines, in addition to providing variance analyses and narratives when necessary.
  2. Review Balance Sheets and P&L including details, where necessary.
  3. Ensure implementation of audit recommendations from internal and external auditors and compliance with all global and regional network procedures and policies by the respective accounting teams.
  4. Ensure compliance with risk management procedures and appropriate coverage for local risks.

Taxation and Compliance

  1. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all tax related procedure and comply with statutory requirement for direct and indirect taxes as per the local Laws and support the global tax team to achieve overall tax compliance in an effective manner.

Planning and Budgeting

  1. Coordinate the annual budgeting, Pre Alert and Strategic planning process ensuring that a comprehensive and accurate plan is completed for submission, including detailed plans for individual departments/Business Units.
  2. Participate in and provide input to the evaluation of business expansion programs and assist in the preparation of Business Case Applications/Capital Expenditure Proposals.

Finance Processes

  1. Ensure the finance processes comply with regional standards and, where there are deviations, these are adequately substantiated.

Cash Flow Management

  1. To ensure liquidity is sufficient to pay debts when due and ensure that employees and suppliers can be paid in accordance with relevant deadlines.
  2. To ensure that the working capital targets are continuously followed and reviewed.

Internal Controls

  1. Review financial controls in order to attain accurate and complete financial information.

Championing Improvement

  1. Actively promote the exchange and adoption of Best Practices within the country organization to leverage collective learning and to improve consistency and productivity.
  2. Be able to work with accounting team as Shared Service Centre and achieve improvement target for finance department productivity.
