• CA (CC), ACA, FCA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification will be given preference.

• Extensive experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Minimum 5–8 years in a senior leadership role such as General Manager, Deputy General Manager or Head of Accounts.

• Strong experience in manufacturing accounting, inventory management, import accounting, ERP systems, financial reporting, audit management, and statutory compliance.

• Experience in managing accounts for nationwide sales, dealer networks, retail operations, and manufacturing plants will be highly preferred.



Responsibilities & Context:

Position Purpose

To lead and oversee the overall Accounts function of Jamuna Electronics & Automobiles Ltd., ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, statutory compliance and efficient accounting operations across head office, factories, warehouses, branches and nationwide sales & service network. The role is responsible for maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic business decisions and driving continuous improvement in accounting systems and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall accounting operations, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure timely preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Supervise General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory Accounting and Cost Accounting functions.

• Monitor accounting transactions related to local procurement, imports, manufacturing, distribution, dealer sales, retail operations and after-sales service.

• Ensure accurate accounting of import costs including LC settlements, customs duties, VAT, taxes, freight, insurance and other landed costs.

• Oversee inventory accounting for factories, warehouses, regional depots, dealer points, and retail showrooms, ensuring proper reconciliation and valuation.

• Establish and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely completion and reporting.

• Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, VAT audits and special management audits by providing accurate financial records and necessary documentation.

• Ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act, VAT & Supplementary Duty Act, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations of Bangladesh.

• Review bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, dealer accounts, branch accounts and balance sheet schedules on a regular basis.

• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization in coordination with the Finance and Treasury departments.

• Support annual budgeting, business planning, forecasting, and variance analysis by providing reliable financial information.

• Prepare financial analyses and management reports to support strategic business decisions.

• Lead ERP-based accounting operations and ensure effective utilization of accounting software and digital financial systems.

• Develop, implement and continuously improve accounting policies, SOPs and financial reporting processes.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts team to improve productivity, compliance, and professional capability.

• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Management.
