Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure the integration and consideration of Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) activities throughout the BIYA project.
∎ Lead the design and implementation of context-specific gender and social inclusion analysis and incorporate the findings into project activities and collaboration efforts.
∎ Implement, track, monitor, and assess the Gender Action Plan, and provide gender equity and social inclusion training to staff.
∎ Develop and implement gender and inclusive policies and advocate for gender-responsive programming.
∎ Oversee the implementation of the activity's GESI policy, principles, and strategy, including capacity building and internal and external learning agendas.
∎ Provide oversight of gender program activities, management, and capacity-building of key staff regarding gender and inclusion.
∎ Develop and implement systems to collect and analyze gender-disaggregated data, identifying trends and patterns.
∎ Coordinate with project personnel, technical staff, and hub-office staff to implement gender inclusion activities in the field.
∎ Ensure gender and social inclusion strategies are integrated into program planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation processes.
∎ Ensure gender safeguarding at all project levels including field level activities from JAAGO end.
∎ Conduct social inclusion analysis activities with technical staff, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
∎ Integrate inclusive practices and recommendations for gender, youth with disabilities, vulnerable populations, and minority groups into project design and activities.
∎ Monitor and implement gender and social inclusion strategies across all programming, making recommendations to address the needs of marginalized and excluded populations.
∎ Collaborate with beneficiaries, community leaders, public and private sector actors, and stakeholders to develop and implement inclusive and gender-sensitive practices.
∎ Assist in setting up gender mainstreaming activities aligning GESI Tracking Table in consultation with the program lead and CARE's gender and social inclusion focal person.
∎ Ensure that programs address the unique needs and vulnerabilities of different genders and marginalized groups.
∎ Participate in project management forums, workshops, and meetings.
∎ Represent JAAGO Foundation at various levels of meetings, workshops, etc., and play a vital role in implementing the BIYA project in coordination with higher management.
∎ Ensure the application of Youth Development Program (YDP) approaches in operational strategies for youth and girls' empowerment.
∎ Leverage opportunities to contribute to BIYA's broader program goals.
∎ Foster an enabling working environment that promotes open and honest communication, based on mutual respect and JAAGO's core values.
∎ Stay updated on gender and inclusion best practices, research, and trends to inform programmatic approaches.
∎ Contribute to the dissemination of knowledge through publications, presentations, and participation in relevant forums as and when needed.
∎ Ensure timely delivery of project goals.
∎ Embed positive youth development approaches in all project activities.
∎ Assist the management of JAAGO Foundation as required.
∎ Contribute to and ensure timely donor reporting on a monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Proven leadership skills in building and managing cooperative relationships and motivating diverse teams.
∎ Extensive experience and technical knowledge in designing and managing development projects and activities, particularly in the field of gender and inclusion development in Bangladesh.
∎ Demonstrated ability to collaborate across projects, adaptability, creativity, and successful leadership of intercultural teams in development contexts.
∎ Foster an inclusive working environment that encourages open and honest communication among all personnel, based on mutual respect and aligned with JAAGO's core values.
∎ Capable of instilling trust and confidence.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Knowledge and understanding of USAID rules and regulations.
∎ Familiarity with Government Policy Priorities on Women and Youth Development.
∎ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel as required.
Salary: Tk. 70000 (Monthly)
