∎ Rupantar, a development organization has been working in Peace & Tolerance, Children & Youth rights, Governance & political empowerment, Environment, popular media & folk theatre and Disaster Management & Climate Change adaptation program. Rupantar is now inviting applications from suitable experienced and interested Bangladeshi candidate irrespective of caste, creed, faith and sex identity for the following position to carry out implementation of PVE, development and new techniques fundraising strategy, including but not limited to donor management, prospect cultivation, increasing funding and expanding the Fund Raising portfolio to include national and international opportunities for the Peace and Tolerance portfolio of Rupantar under Rupantar peace project. ∎ Duration :12 Months Contract (initiation date approximately from August, 2023)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ PEACE Consortium consider that the staff followed by the recruitment will carry out the expertise in forecasting the resource mobilization strategies of the local, national and international actors which includes but not only limited to traditional development partners rather extends beyond that covering the corporate houses and business entities. Followed by the identification of the existing resources available across the sector in the working area, the staff will also dictate and be able to influence the policy making of the actors resulting in mobilizing new resources for the support of the cause for Prevention of Violent Extremism across Bangladesh primarily.
∎ The resource mobilization strategy developed by the resource mobilization audit firm will be the primary pathway but regular changes to the document and strategies needs to be brought down by the appointed staff. Just by not only engaging support to resource mobilization by the external actors rather also to increase the potentiality to receive fund by the Consortium member and if possible, the National PVE network members will also be the responsibility of the Resource Mobilization staff which will result in regular communication with the donor management, inter and intra communication, identifying the strength of the organization and revisiting the weak spots to recover those areas.
∎ The appointed staff will also carry out the regular monitoring of the organization of the consortium members to track the changes in their capability and advancement as well progress so that those can be recorded for further advancement, enhancement or if required further mobilization. The appointed person will primarily be responsible for the management of fundraising, PVE MEAL and communications and has overall oversight and coordination of PVE donor engagement and PVE fundraising and proposal writing.
∎ The responsibilities along with the earlier narratives is also extended to the below points:
∎ Support in Development and implementation of the annual fundraising plans and strategies to meet the organization's goals.
∎ Contributing in Managing, overseeing and coordinating all fundraising activities, including direct mail, online campaigns, corporate donations, major gifts, events, and sponsorships.
∎ Conducting research and identifying potential donors, corporate partners, and grant opportunities to increase fundraising efforts.
∎ Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, and other stakeholders to increase awareness, support and engagement with the organization's mission and vision.
∎ Collaborating with program staff to identify funding opportunities and develop proposals for grant applications and other fundraising initiatives.
∎ Managing and maintaining accurate donor databases and tracking systems to ensure proper recording and reporting of all donations.
∎ Preparing and submitting regular reports to the Executive Director to monitor and evaluate fundraising performance and goals.
∎ Planning, organizing, and executing fundraising events and other donor engagement activities to increase awareness and support for the respective causes.
∎ Supervising and training consortium members to ensure they are equipped to support the organization's fundraising efforts.
∎ Keep up-to-date with the latest fundraising trends, best practices, and technologies, and incorporate new techniques into the organization's fundraising strategy.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Demonstrable expertise on similar topics aligned with the responsibilities aforementioned;
∎ Capacity to explore, screen, analyze and summarize all the fund-raising opportunities;
∎ Track record in developing and conducting various types of proposals or development interventions;
∎ Previous experience working with national and international donors directly;
∎ Strong inter and intra personal communication skills with and analytical ability;
∎ Knowledge and understanding of the local political, economic and social context;
∎ Ability to work with target communities in relevant local languages (English preferably) is vital.
∎ Awareness of local dynamics and ethical considerations in development intervention for the not-for-profit organizations;
∎ Ability to respond to queries, suggestions and recommendations in a timely, appropriate manner ensuring that the goal is reached and strategy remains intact;
∎ Ability to write high quality, clear, concise reports in English.
∎ The candidates should have the age limit of 25 to 45 years and have the ability to work in adverse situations.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and good team spirit;
∎ Experience in writing project concept note, project proposal, report and management plans
∎ Knowledge in the use of related software
∎ Experience in coordination and presentation of developing project proposal.
∎ Excellent knowledge and use of English language facility desired.
∎ Willingness & ability to travel different location as required
∎ Skill & experience of working with e-communication.
