Job Context:
∎ GK was created in 1972 with two visions. Firstly, "the fate of the poor decides fate of the country". Secondly, "development of the country depends on development of women". Since 2017, Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) and UNHCR have entered in a partnership to respond to the Rohingya crisis in Cox Bazar & Bhasanchar.
∎ Working place: Cox`s Bazar(Ukhia, Teknaf)/Noakhali (Bhasanchar)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Focal person -IPC is responsible for overseeing and coordinating waste disposal, refuse collection, and recycling activities in an efficient and environmentally-friendly manner. Management of Cleanliness of facility premises.
∎ Placement of the color bins in assigned places with specifications & ensure their use.
∎ Help arrangement of proper dumping/destruction/incineration of the waste material
∎ Management of dumping places/ placental pits.
∎ As and when necessary any other duty relevant to the post assigned by competent authority.

∎ Special responsibility As per need-based:
∎ This position is mainly responsible for logistic support for the smooth implementation of health facilities.
∎ She/he will do necessary maintenance of the facility structure in relation to water supply/waste facilities/ generator support etc.
∎ Ensure record keeping of logistic materials (Receipt, distribution & use).
∎ Maintain leave register & communicate with HR officer for monthly attendance sheet prepare & submit for a monthly salary
∎ Logistics & Admin focal person will assist CM in the administrative affairs of the facility.
∎ Ensure maintenance of equipment & materials (AC, Generator......chair, table...... ) of the facility & take necessary action for repair.
∎ Special Note:
∎ Carry out any additional assignment in accordance with her/his position entrusted by the Medical Team Leader of GK from time to time and mutually agreed upon;
∎ Management may, at any point of time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshastha Kendra's interests in consultation with incumbent.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ At least 1 year of experience in NGO/INGO and more than 2 years of working experience in infection prevention & control management in any reputed hospital/clinic/NGO
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in medical emergencies or humanitarian crises will be added advantages.
∎ Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
∎ Ability to work independently under minimal supervision;
