∎ The First Aid and Prehospital Care Field Officer contributes to the overall technical quality and context-based program planning, monitoring and evaluation of the ICRC Bangladesh First Aid & Prehospital Emergency Care (FA & PHEC) programs.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conducts assessment to understand evolution & assist to strengthen activities related to first aid & emergency preparedness & emergency response capacities with collaboration of local stakeholders.
∎ Ensures most effective implementation of FA & PHEC activities by maintaining communication & co-ordination with local partners and stakeholders.
∎ Co-ordinates with intra organizational stakeholders during FA & PHEC training, assess & evaluate training quality.
∎ Supports research and implementation of first aid references, documents & best practices in context of local culture, level of resilience etc.
∎ Ensures availability & distribution of equipment and supplies (i.e: first aid/emergency preparedness) as & when required.
∎ Assists in data collection, ensures all collected information are monitored, evaluated & reported on regular basis.
∎ Liaises with both external & internal stakeholder to update/revise standard operating procedures, deployment reporting, ensures more efficient implementation & activity evaluation of ICRC activities.
∎ Participates in different meeting as technical reference, takes meeting minutes, notes, and interprets to relevant stakeholders.
∎ Monitors & identifies opportunities in social & general media regarding FA & PHEC work.
∎ Prepare reports and other documentation as & when required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Fluent command of English and computer literacy. Knowledge of Rohingya language will get added advantage.
∎ License to practice in Bangladesh.
∎ Professional requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of experience as a frontline health service provider.
∎ Experience in pre hospital emergency care will be given preference.
∎ Voluntary experience with the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement will be considered as an asset.
∎ Excellent knowledge of the assigned geographic area.
∎ Personal qualities for the position:
∎ Excellent sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
∎ Excellent computer skill especially in MS Office.
∎ Ability to empathize to people who are in vulnerable situation in the country.
∎ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, respecting the established framework.
∎ Ability to define priorities.
∎ Ability to adapt to and work in a multicultural team environment.
∎ Team spirit and capacity to integrate a multidisciplinary approach.
