• Certification of the “Fire Safety Manager (6 monthly) course” from BFSCD or Alliance / Accord / Nirapon is mandatory.

• Must have the knowledge to organize the installation and maintenance of panel board systems, fire alarms, smoke detectors, and addressable and fire hydrant systems.

• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): (Fire safety Management, Health Safety Environment, Occupational Health)

• Coordinate with MGI Central Fire Department to ensure workplace fire safety and verify that all firefighting equipment is in good working condition at all times.

• Maintain compliance with company fire safety policies and relevant national regulations.

• Inspect, evaluate, and prepare updated reports on the current effectiveness of all fire and safety equipment installed in the factory.

• Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and status of firefighting systems.

• Ensure the factory maintains an updated list of firefighting team members (shift and floor-wise) and define their roles and responsibilities during emergencies.

• Verify that adequate numbers of Firemen, Fire Tender Operators, and Fire Supervisors are deployed by the Fire Department for each shift and zone.

• Ensure that at least 18% of the workforce (floor and shift-wise) is identified and trained in firefighting, rescue, and first aid.

• Conduct regular fire safety and first aid training sessions and practical demonstrations for all employees, including contract and irregular staff.

• Monitor and report on overall housekeeping and anti-smoking initiatives within the factory.

• Ensure safe segregation, storage, and handling of raw materials, finished goods, chemicals, and combustible materials to prevent fire risks.

• Regularly inspect all types of fire protection systems including smoke detectors, hydrants, extinguishers, fire doors, and firefighting apparatus.

• Review and verify that all fire safety systems are constructed, installed and maintained according to the approved Fire Safety Master Plan in collaboration with the Project Department and Fire Consultant.

• Coordinate with the Central Fire Department to conduct periodic fire and emergency evacuation drills, including during vulnerable hours such as night shifts and lunch breaks.

• Maintain effective communication with local fire service authorities.

• Prepare and update all fire safety-related documents, reports and policies, including emergency evacuation plans.
