Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead and oversee all aspects of financial and accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, statutory compliance, and audit coordination, ensuring alignment with group objectives.
∎ Support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in managing the finance function and driving strategic financial initiatives across the group.
∎ Partner with Heads of Businesses to provide actionable financial insights, facilitate decision-making, and ensure sound financial management across all business units.
∎ Ensure timely and accurate period-end closings, maintaining high standards in financial data integrity and consistency across all group entities.
∎ Track and analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and historical trends; deliver meaningful variance analysis and strategic recommendations.
∎ Strengthen internal control systems to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, corporate policies, and governance frameworks.
∎ Drive effective management of working capital, including receivables, payables, inventory, and cash flow optimization across entities.
∎ Oversee fixed capital investment planning and asset utilization, ensuring optimal returns and alignment with long-term business goals.
∎ Collaborate with business leaders to identify cost optimization opportunities, streamline processes, and enhance financial efficiency across operations.
∎ Support market intelligence initiatives by analyzing product performance, competitive positioning, and industry trends to aid in business strategy formulation.
