Job Context:
∎ Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non- government, non-political, Bangladeshi organization under its Health & Nutrition program providing lifesaving health & nutrition support to the local Bangladeshi & rohingya people of Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual (Renewable)
∎ Job Location: Cox’s Bazar District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Financial Management
∎ Take initiative that that staff understands the payment and advance receiving procedures, timing, templates and required documentation.
∎ Ensuring effective review and thorough checking of all payment request in line with the financial and taxation policy, taking initiative to query any missing documentation or unusual transactions
∎ Completing accurate preparation of voucher, cheque and fund transfer advice for all payments and advances, ensuring proper and complete supporting documentation, following finance policy in all respects, accurate coding and with approval from all relevant colleagues.
∎ Maintain update supplier status, adjust advance against staff/suppliers
∎ Financial monitoring and banking operation
∎ Ensuring adequate funds are available for field office operations and partners to enable smooth implementation of programme activities.
∎ Ensuring that cash flow forecasting is prepared by Programme on a timely basis and submit to HO using the prescribed formats according to the deadline.
∎ Maintain close liaison with HO and SARPV bank to ensure funds are available according to the need.
∎ Inventory and fixed asset management
∎ To enable fixed assets to be properly tracked and controlled and complying with legal requirements. Including, but not limited to:
∎ Providing fixed assets purchasing related information in a timely way to administration team to ensure their records are complete.
∎ Support Administration and Head Office to review implementation of fixed asset policies and be part of the periodic fixed assets verification process.
∎ Financial Operations:
∎ Ensure Records and posts all financial transactions.
∎ Manage financial data and assists with the annual audit.
∎ Prepares journal entries to record bi-weekly payroll, payroll accounts analysis and reconciliation.
∎ Develops and documents systematic procedures for payroll related tasks.
∎ Checking Pays bills, handles correspondence, and maintains files.
∎ Prepares financial statements, estimates, summaries, and other financial analyses and management reports.
∎ Document all lessons learned on an on-going basis.
∎ Donor Reports:
∎ Timely collect all Donor Reports from respective project and cross checked.
∎ Providing General and logistical support to the program
∎ Preparation of budget & budgetary control
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in finance/accounting role with a national or international NGO
∎ Proven experience in managing large budgets
∎ The applicants should have competency with ERP software-based accounting system.
∎ Proven leadership skills and a competence in people management
∎ Competence in providing technical guidance and training
∎ Proven experience in working with national partners, local/government authorities
∎ Working experience with relevant donors United Nation Body & I-NGOs
∎ Advanced proficiency in MS Office as well as experience working in a financial IT system
∎ Full professional proficiency in English
Salary: Tk. 45000 (Monthly)
