Job Context:
∎ MMS seeks a qualified candidate to fill the position of Finance and Admin Officer for the “Regional programme for promoting a multisectoral approach for Nutrition Smart Villages in Bangladesh, Nepal and India” up-to project period 31 August 2020 (contract might be renewable depend on fund availability of donor). Finance and Admin Officer will support to implement the mentioned project activity which was funded by Welthungerhilfe & BMZ. The position also requires regular financial monitoring and transitions to ensure value for money.
∎ Working conditions: This is an office based position spending a certain percentage of time in the field to gather some knowledge about Project activities.
∎ Job Location: Sirajganj Shadar upazila under Sirajganj district
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Accounts keeping and controlling following International Finance Management Standard as required of WHH, based on project documents like as Project agreement and Budget.
∎ Reviewed all aspects of finance, accounting and administrative function and maintains records of the project.
∎ Prepare quarterly fund request based on Annual Budget and monthly basis Expenditure plan, Financial Statements including Final A/c Budget Variance report, Bank reconcilement A/c.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly, half annual and annual report as per donor deadlines and get it signed by appropriate authority.
∎ Should have performing on NGOAB related activity (FD-6, FD-2 and other relevant task)
∎ Ensure that all financial records are maintained according to audit standards, including bank receipts, disbursement registers, invoices, bank vouchers, bank statements, petty cash vouchers, stock register.
∎ Provide support to the internal audit function and implementation of its recommendations.
∎ Bank reconciliation, cheque control, control over cash and payment system.
∎ Follow organizational guideline (financial manual, human resource policy, cost sharing policy, etc.) and donor guidelines.
∎ Assist to procurement committee for purchasing of all goods and services as per budget provision and MMS guideline.
∎ Review periodically pricing policy in the light of cost recovery objects.
∎ Ensure preparation of monthly payroll and staff salary.
∎ Ensure fixed asset recording, annual inventory, ID # ensure equipment and facilities are adequately.
∎ Review the findings of the external/donor audit report, and makes linkage between program management and financial management.
∎ Any other official task assign by MMS management should be perform
Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 years of working experience on relevant job and any donor funded project.
∎ Female candidate will be given preference.
∎ Job related good conceptual understanding especially, bookkeeping, and accounting, personnel and procurement management.
∎ Should have sound knowledge on NGOAB related activity (FD-6, FD-2 and other relevant task)
∎ Computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
∎ Expertise on accounting software Tally ERP-9
∎ Capable to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholder and project beneficiaries.
∎ Motorcycle driving skill with knowledge on safety measures and valid license.
Salary: Tk. 30000 (Monthly)

∎ Business : Manab Mukti Sangstha (MMS) is a local level Development Organization established in January 15, 1984 at Sthal Char under Chowhali Upazila in Sirajgonj which is most disaster prone and poverty stricken area with a view to `see a society free from poverty, discrimination and risk of natural disasters`. At the begging MMS worked in Chowhali in small scale but now we are working in whole Sirajgonj, Pabna, Tangail, Jamalpur and Bogra districts covering chars and river basin areas.
MMS implements its programmes and projects focusing chars and river basin area of the river Jamuna, there is no communication facilities and it is still remaining as untouched the minimum facilities of electricity and gas. MMS, a Bangladesh based not-for-profit organization is determined to generate contribution in ensuring Health, Nutrition, Education, CCA-DRR, Good Governance, Livelihood and Food Security for poor and vulnerable families of Jamuna river basin areas.
