Job Context:
∎ BLAST is a leading national legal aid and human rights organization providing legal advice, mediation, and litigation services, and undertaking advocacy to ensure the rights of women, men, and children living in poverty or facing discrimination/social exclusion. BLAST works through its Head Office in Dhaka and 25 District-level Offices with 2600+ panel lawyers and 100+partner organizations.
∎ BLAST is looking for a Finance & Admin Officer for Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar Office under the project of IHPR. The project aims to provide legal services - legal literacy, legal advice, information, referral, mediation, and where appropriate litigation - in three (3) Unions (Nhilla, Sabrang, and Baharchhara) in Teknaf Upazila of Cox`s Bazar to ensure access to justice for individuals in the community as well as to provide increased responsiveness of local justice actors - by capacity building training to project staff, community volunteers (Self-help group) and local government representatives.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist Project Coordinator in managing administrative and financial issues
∎ Support District Coordinator and Upazilla Coordinators by providing financial analysis and guidance for making decisions.
∎ Ensure proper expenditure as per budget provision.
∎ Facilitate external audit
∎ Prepare and implement procurement plan
∎ Ensure all functionality of the office functions at all times (e.g. electricity, Utilities, internet, plumbing, pest control, insurance, office set up)
∎ Prepare all kinds of financial reports
∎ Prepare an annual physical inventory of fixed assets, official documents/files/register, etc.
∎ Travel periodically to visit project area up to union level when necessary perform other duties as and when necessary.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field in national/international NGOs is preferable.
∎ Proficient in budget formats in excel or any other standard financial management programs will be a plus point.
∎ Sound knowledge and understanding of qualitative and quantitative assessment techniques.
∎ Strong communication skills and proven experience in interpreting information and report writing in Bangla and English.
∎ Capacity to work independently, and under pressure.
∎ Good computer knowledge especially in MS Word, Excel, Accounting Software (Tally), and also should be good in email communication.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
∎ Costs for fieldwork/visit will be borne by BLAST according to its policies.
