Uttaran is a people-centered organization using a rights-based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.
∎ Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Field Officer for the "Increased Resilience for Women through the Provision of WASH Services" Project.
∎ Job Title: Field Officer
∎ Reports to: Training officer
Job Responsibilities:
∎ A Field Officer will be responsible for the following tasks (Including but not limited to):
∎ Assessing the WASH needs of communities, identifying gaps in WASH services and infrastructure, and developing appropriate solutions to address these gaps
∎ Developing and implementing WASH programs that meet the needs of the target communities, in line with the Project goals and objectives
∎ Monitoring the implementation of WASH programs to ensure that they are on track and achieving their objectives, and evaluating the impact of the programs.
∎ Building the capacity of local communities and organizations to manage and maintain WASH infrastructure and services, and providing training and support as needed.
∎ Preparing regular progress reports and presenting project updates to stakeholders, including senior management, and project team members
∎ Conduct community-level group discussions to identify appropriate WASH hardware needs and ensure inclusion.
∎ Help create a construction work plan with management
∎ Assist and guide volunteers for the smooth functioning of the project.
∎ Participate in WASH and other related workshops and training to broaden knowledge and share it with colleagues and beneficiaries.
∎ Any other assignments of organizational management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ 02 years of working experience in WASH-related programs and among them at least 01 years of experience in a similar position
∎ Skilled in computer literacy, reporting and other related documentation
∎ Fluently spoken and written English
∎ Skill in designing Sand pond Filter repair, de-watering, and excavation of community pond
∎ Commitment to working with Humanitarian organization
∎ Willing to drive motorcycle with a valid driving license
∎ Willingness to be based in the field.
∎ Fluent communication with the community in the local language is preferred.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual- Fixed Term Contract (9 Months)
