Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor degree in Nutrition is required or Masters in Nutrition or Public health is Preferred
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Improve access to health and nutrition services by target community through establishing community based referral pathways/mechanism (including follow up), primarily targeting PLWs, children under the age of 24 months and adolescent girls.
∎ Improved knowledge, attitude practices and behaviors relating to health and nutrition through community care groups championed by lead mothers. Promotion of optimal health and nutrition practiced through Behavior Change Communication methodologies/strategies.
∎ Facilitate community lead selection of lead mothers, facilitators and other project staff, provision of capacity building including on the job training and regular support visits. Developing and implementation of a cost efficient sustainable lead mother motivation plan.
∎ Participate in the adaptation/development of IEC/BCC materials and training materials focusing on the prevalent health and nutrition issues.
∎ Networking and linkage with local government, NGOs/Development agencies, other WVB projects, traditional and religious leaders.
∎ Ensuring that Monitoring systems and tools are adapted to the local context and are utilized. Ensuring that the data produced by the project is quality and also timely. Ensure the effective implementation of project activities and team management Activities including documentation and reporting.
∎ Design and implement a community mobilization strategy which will ensure both community participation and community ownership of the project.
∎ Conduct monthly meetings with lead mothers do discuss project progress, capacity building and mitigation of the challenges they face.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ 2 years' experience in nutrition program management with INGO/NGO/UN and related field experience in adolescent nutrition, Infant and Young Child Feeding promotion, Breast feeding counseling, Community Mobilization, cooking demonstrations.
∎ Strong capacity building and training skills
∎ Strong capacity for relations with state and local stakeholders
∎ Fluent in English (professional English required)
∎ Good resource and time management skills
∎ Proven Project management and proposal/report writing skills
∎ Excellent organizational, leadership and motivation skills
∎ Supervisory and managerial skills with proven ability to manage a demanding workload
∎ Computer literate, especially MS Word and Excel
∎ Ability to drive motorcycle with driving licence will add value
Salary: Tk. 65000 (Monthly)
