Job Responsibilities:
∎ Field Manager/Coordinator will be responsible for the effective execution of the project interventions/activities under the area of field office that will include supervision of project staff, administration and coordination with partners, relevant market actors, public and private organizations
∎ Ensuring program implementation through results-based management, good coordination and communication amongst the team members implementing different activities and also implementing realistic and consistent work plans established in consultation with the program team
∎ Maintain budgetary control of expenditure, manage donor funds and prepare financial reports in line with donor requirements and iDE regulations
∎ Support the finance team in reviewing monthly financial expenses and Receipt and Payment prepared by the partners to maintaining organizational policy
∎ Ensure appropriate, effective and efficient utilization of resources, logistics and project materials to field staff and others, following the iDE-B administrative, financial, vehicle and other policies and regulations properly.
∎ Assist Project Manager in program oversight, technical, administrative, operational, and logistical management of the activity
∎ S/he will provide leadership in planning and implementation of field operation by building and motivating team members to achieve the results adhering to the milestones;
∎ Establish and develop relationships with Private Sector actors, large firms and Business Development Services (BDS) providers to identify and promote enterprise development and also create youth and women employment at local level
∎ Lead in planning, market assessment and programmatic guidance for the project staff, partners and other stakeholders according to project guidelines and donor requirements;
∎ Oversee project monitoring & evaluation and ensure adherence to reporting requirements; monitor progress and capturing best practices, critical analysis and generate reports as required; provide feedback to the field team and updates the iDE senior management team and project manager on a regular basis
∎ Facilitate to promote the positive image of the agricultural machinery & light engineering sectors through capacity building, employment creation including generating support from local, national & international stakeholders and connecting with local media
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years’ experience working in implementing market development projects with minimum 5 years in a managerial position
∎ Demonstrated an ability to manage financial and administrative systems; excellent project management skills; leadership and operational capabilities which resulted in achievement of targets;
∎ Considerable understanding and knowledge of rural markets, agri machinery markets, trading relationships, rural service provision, agri machinery value chain approaches to market development, sub-sector analysis, role of the private sector, government and civil society/NGOs in creating an effective service market
∎ Prior experience working in the context of USAID or similar donor funded agricultural development projects;
∎ Demonstrated an ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including government agencies, research and private sector service providers;
∎ Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
∎ Ability to work with various national and international team members and flexibility to adapt to different work conditions
∎ Self -reliant, ability to work independently and effectively in a multi-cultural environment and willingness to work under pressure in remote areas

∎ Ability to travel and undertake fieldwork in rural contexts
∎ High quality of written and spoken in both Bangla and English with an ability to produce regular qualitative narrative reports, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel, Power-point and Word.
∎ Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, email and the internet
∎ Familiarity with internet based software systems such as Google Apps and Salesforce
∎ The position would be the regular employment of iDE-B
∎ The remuneration package, work days and deliverables might be change based on negotiation between iDE management and the contract
