Experience:

• Bachelor/Honors

• Graduation in Social Sciences/ Development Studies/ Geography and Environmental Sciences/ Disaster Management/ Law and related field from a recognized University

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency

• At least 02 years working experience in community mobilization, stakeholder engagement, disaster risk reduction and emergency response issues.

• Ability to communicate in the local dialect (Chattogram Dialect).

• Good working relationships with colleagues, partners, external actors and allies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) <www.ypsa.org> is an organization for sustainable development working in greater Chattogram division since 1985. YPSA is implementing a project on “Anticipatory Action for landslides causing displacement for communities in Chattogram Districts in Bangladesh” in Chattogram district (Chattogram City Corporation & Banshkhali Upazila) in partnership with Save the Children. YPSA is inviting application from the experienced professionals with proven track record for the following position for the Project.

Job location: Chattogram (Chattogram City/Banshkhali Upazila)

Duration: 15 September 2025 to February 2026

Job responsibilities:

• To carry out necessary field work for supporting the overall planning and implementation of all set activities of project.

• Coordinate, communicate and liaison with different government departments, district and upazilla level administrations, local government institutions, CSO, CBO, Local Medias in the project area

• Organize project activities including capacity building activities, meeting, workshop, orientations and event at respective areas with different stakeholders

• Collect field data as per plan for development of mapping on context based landslides, flashflood and displacement problem and anticipatory action for the dissemination of early warning system in the community level

• Take necessary steps for formation of Youth Volunteers in the community level for disaster responses

• Provide field level support for Develop the local Anticipatory Action Plans on early warning system , landslides and internally displaced populations.

• Directly involve with the distribution of emergency cash and the stocks to vulnerable families and cash support to women-led and vulnerable small business owners to protect livelihoods.

• Develop event report and preserve all field records.

• Maintain gender-sensitive approach in all stages and maintain safeguarding measures

• Monitor and follow up Project activities in the targeted areas.

• Any other task assigned by the Management

• Monthly consolidated Salary: 33,074/-
