Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context: Shapla Mohila Sangstha (SMS) is a non-government women rights organization working for the advancement of poor and brothel base women and children, excluded people since 1997. SMS has long working experiences on child protection i.e. care, protection, shelter and empowerment of trafficking and abusing girls/children who are forced to prostitution.

SMS is implementing a program under the title Ensuring safety and wellbeing for brothel-based sex worker children and mothers in Bangladesh (Projonmo-Sopan) Funded by foreign Assistance. This program is being implemented at three brothel different district. The organization is currently searching following vacancy to implement field level activities successfully. Working mentality with most vulnerable and sensitive communities

The Field Facilitator & Informer will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the community field . He/she will mobilize Play Leaders, CBCPC members, CTC, monitoring daily activities, and assisting in child-centered learning sessions. The role involves direct interaction with children, caregivers, play leaders, and community stakeholders to promote inclusive, safe and playful learning for children affected by emergencies. This position will also conduct daily supervisory visits of community to evaluate adherence to minimum standards for operation.

Reporting To: Project Implementation Officer

  • Develop the implementation plan and strategy to the execution project activities at field level.
  • Organize and facilitate training, workshop, courtyard session at community level as per plans.
  • To be prepared event report by according donor requirement.
  • To be rescued minor girl from brothel community with support of different relevant agencies.
  • To be work legal aid support
  • Assist Rescue minor sex girl from sensitive community.
  • To provide counseling support for the rescued girls.
  • Build relationships with individuals, social groups, institutions, and likeminded organizations.
  • Develop cohesion amongst community and monitor and implement Community Development Plans and share the projects.
  • Encourage, affirm, and strengthen those individuals and groups who are working for and with the most vulnerable children.
  • Encourage an understanding of and sensitivity to child development and child vulnerability factors among community members and local partners.
  • Facilitate relationship building and strengthen relationships and partnerships between existing groups in the community.
  • Coordinate with Counselor and other sector staffs for effective program integration and quality counseling services.
  • Provide monthly Program (data based and Narrative) Reports and as well as financial report.
  • Provide support to community facilitators/groups for effective implementation of project activities.
  • Assist PM to select, train, support and monitor community facilitators / groups in implementing project activities.
  • Activate community-based Child Protection Mechanisms and Safeguarding at community level.
  • Engage at individual and household level to facilitate the development process of the most vulnerable.
  • Build strong relationships with local policy makers and GOs, CSO and other outlets so that our stakeholders' efforts receive the best coverage for advancing their goals.
  • Cooperate for ensuring effective coordination, communication and implementation of advocacy and campaign related activities.
  • Collect information and data for evidence-based advocacy for further planning and actions.
  • Project models, program accountability to ensure successful accomplishments of the program activities to create impacts in the community.
  • Reporting, prepare formative and narrative event report, monthly report, case study, story of changes, best practices and impact analysis.
  • Prepare monthly PFA / Counselor activity plan.
  • Prepare documents on lesson learnt, challenges and best practices and report to the Authority
  • Documentation & record keeping
  • Coordinate with Go, NGO, Local Authority and others
  • Maintain communication, coordination, and networking with GOs (Union, Upzila administration and relevant departments), NGOs, partners, service providers and relevant local stakeholders to ensure project activities are managed smoothly
