Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Disaster Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Requirements: Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of experience in community mobilization, DRR & CCA programming and gender/GBV initiatives.
- Strong understanding of participatory approaches, CRM and monitoring tools.
- Proven skills in facilitation, coordination and reporting.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities in both Bangla and English.
- Ability to work independently in rural and coastal field settings.
- Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities & Context: Responsible for:
- Facilitate formation and functionality of Polder Management Committee (PMC), Climate Youth Group and Women Groups.
- Support the development and validation of Participatory Polder Risk Assessment (PPRA) Plans.
- Support to organize project launching and validation workshops at union and upazila levels.
- Arrange and facilitate regular (monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly) meetings with PMC, UDMC, WASH Committees, Youth Groups and Women Groups.
- Support PMC, youth and women groups in planning and implementing DRR & CCA initiatives.
- Facilitate training sessions on DRR, CCA, Inclusions, GBV prevention, good governance, leadership and rights awareness.
- Ensure capacity development of community members and youth on resilience, rescue and first aid.
- Distribute rescue materials, first aid kits and vests to community volunteers.
- Conduct yearly school campaigns on DRR, CCA, WASH and environmental safeguards.
- Document meeting minutes, attendance, photos and activity reports for all field interventions.
- Maintain effective communication with the Project Officer and ensure timely reporting.
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding, gender equity and CRM principles at all stages.
- Support baseline surveys, monitoring visits and impact assessments.
- Document meeting minutes, success stories, case studies and progress reports.
- Promote accountability and transparency through active CRM and feedback follow-up.
Activities:
- Formation of Polder Management Committee, Climate Youth Group and Women Group.
- Development and facilitation of Participatory Polder Risk Assessment (PPRA) Plans.
- Project Launching Workshops at Upazila and Union levels.
- Validation workshops for PPRA at Upazila and Union levels.
- Quarterly liaison meetings with BWDB, Forest, Agriculture, Fisheries, LGED, DDM and other departments.
- Quarterly coordination meetings with UDMC and WASH Committees.
- PMC Training on DRR & CCA and monthly PMC meetings.
- Bi-monthly Climate Youth Volunteer meetings and Women Group meetings.
- Monthly staff meetings and quarterly project review meetings.
- School campaigns (Primary & Secondary) on DRR, CCA, WASH, Safeguards and Environment.
- Capacity development training on Polder Management in collaboration with GO/NGO stakeholders.
- Training for Climate Youth Groups on leadership and resilience.
- Orientation and training for UDMC and WASH Committees on DRR & CCA.
- Training for Women Groups on Rights, Leadership, DRR, CCA, Inclusions, GBV and Safe Sanitation.
- Distribution of rescue materials, first aid kits, and vests for community flood volunteers.
- Community-level awareness and advocacy liaison at local, national and international levels.
- Support CRM implementation, record complaints, and follow up resolutions.
