Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduation in Fashion Design or Textile Engineering from any reputed university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 1 to 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop new designs for every season.
∎ Research upcoming trends and design unique collections.
∎ Create a flat sketch, CAD, illustrations and motifs.
∎ Make trim cards, swatch boards and color palettes for each season.
∎ To be ahead of trends in fabric, style, patterns and techniques.
∎ To forecast demand and identify colors, fabrics, textures, patterns, prints, etc.
∎ Producing unique and attractive apparel designs for various brands.
∎ Creating new designs based on brand concepts.
∎ Designing prints, jacquard and dobby patterns, check and stripe patterns for new fabric development.
∎ Developing best-selling styles for traditional, casual and formal wear for men's, women's and kids.
∎ Developing different collections throughout the year that must be trend-led and tailored towards the brand's current customer base. Need to have analytical knowledge on seasonal trend forecasts to create successful commercial products.
∎ Coordinating with product development, merchandising and other related departments in day to day activities.
∎ Sourcing and developing fabrics, trims and accessories as per buyer specifications.
∎ Follow up on sample development and monitor sample section activities.
∎ The role will include some local/overseas travel to the factories for development, fabric & trim sourcing.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1 to 2 year(s) experience in relevant fields.
∎ Confident, resourceful and target oriented.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Fashion Designing, Product Development.
∎ The applicants should have proper knowledge and experience in working with various fabrics, trims and accessories.
∎ The applicants should have knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office.
Salary: Negotiable
