Responsibilities & Context:
Core Responsibilities:
Ensuring compliance: Ensuring adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP).
Budgeting and forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitoring expenditures against budgets.
Regulatory compliance: Managing tax-related matters, including VAT, TDS, and income tax, and ensuring timely filing of returns.
Inventory management and cost accounting: May be involved in product costing, landed costing, and profitability calculations, particularly in the context of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
ERP system management: Working with ERP systems for accounting and financial transactions.
Maintaining financial records: Ensuring proper filing and maintenance of all financial documents, invoices, and supporting materials.
Communication and reporting: Preparing regular reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) on financial performance and communicating findings to management.
Excellent proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and modeling
Positive "can-do" attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Handle full set of accounts, finance, and cash management
Prepare financial reports, daily cash statements, and reconciliations
Monitor cash inflow/outflow, petty cash, and bank transactions
Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors or banks
Maintain filing systems, official records, and asset registers.
