  • Training/ Trade Course: Any qualification such as APSCA CSCA, Higg, ISO 14K, ZDHC, BEPI qualification, or similar will will get preference but not mandatory.

Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with wet process in any of the industries, relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental audits.
  • Candidates with higher experience may be considered for Supervisor or Manager Roles.
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Textile/Dyeing/ Washing
  • Experience as a Higg, Chemical, or Environmental Auditor.
  • Candidate must have at least three years industry experience in the wet processing section (Dyeing/Printing/Washing).
  • Robust knowledge of chemical management and detailed processes of Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).
  • Understanding of water and energy consumption in industrial processes.
  • Completion of courses related to quality, health and safety of product, environmental management, or certifications such as ISO 9000, ISO 14000, Oeko-Tex, or other relevant retailer certifications.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing risks associated with different chemical processes in the leather and textile industry.
  • Understanding of product health and safety standards, including garment testing procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental rules, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in conducting environmental parameter testing and environmental assessments with a team.
  • Adequate knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Management Plan (EMP), and Chemical Management Plans (CMP).
  • Capability to conduct energy audits and evaluate energy management plans.


Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context: The position is Permanent in Nature, both Office and Field Based.

EBS is looking for a competent and motivated professional to join our ESG and Sustainability Audit Team. The selected individual will be responsible for conducting assessments and audits related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, sustainability compliance, and environmental management systems in accordance with international standards and client requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule audits in advance to ensure they are carried out effectively and efficiently.

  • Review and incorporate updated audit procedures, audit documents, Audit Manual, customers’ new requirements, and relevant/updated laws and regulations, ensuring they are readily available for audit and operational use.

  • Prepare detailed audit reports using updated formats, ensuring best quality documentation. Submit the complete report package to the report reviewers within designated timeframes.

  • Evaluate compliance with environmental, labor, and social responsibility standards, including raw material testing reports, technical data sheets, and safety data sheets.

  • Assess chemical suppliers and establish criteria to ensure quality and compliance for client purchase orders.

  • Conduct ESG, sustainability, and environmental audits at factories and facilities, including chemical management audits, Higg Index, ZDHC, Detox, BEPI, and other relevant assessments.

  • Independently prepare ESG and sustainability reports, and execute environmental or sustainability projects as needed by the organization.

  • Provide capacity-building support and training based on client needs.

  • Demonstrate willingness to take the lead in introducing new programs or initiatives whenever required by the industry or organization.

  • Perform ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) assessment and evaluation.

  • Support clients in developing sustainability action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor and verify implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ESG frameworks, environmental regulations, and global sustainability trends.
