• Design and Development: Creating the architecture and components of embedded systems, including hardware and software.
• Hardware Integration: Working with electronic components, circuit boards, and microcontrollers to build the physical system.
• Software Development: Writing, testing, and debugging code, often in languages like C/C++, for the embedded system.
• Firmware Development: Creating and managing the low-level software that interacts directly with the hardware.
• Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS): Working with RTOS to manage the timing and resources of the embedded system.
• Testing and Debugging: Ensuring the system functions correctly and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Performance Optimization: Improving the efficiency and speed of the embedded system.
• Collaboration: Working with other engineers, including hardware, software, and firmware engineers, as well as cross-functional teams.
• Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for the design, development, and testing processes.
• Strong programming skills: Proficiency in C/C++ is essential, and knowledge of other languages like Python can be beneficial.
• Hardware knowledge: Understanding of electronics, circuit boards, microcontrollers, and microprocessors.
• Real-time operating systems: Experience with RTOS is crucial for managing timing and resources.
• Debugging and troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve issues in embedded systems.
• Communication and teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers and teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills: Essential for designing, developing, and troubleshooting embedded systems.
