  • Educational Qualification: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in teaching, community development, or working with children in a similar project or school-based setting.

  • Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to facilitate group discussions and training sessions.

  • Knowledge and understanding of gender equality, social inclusion, and child safeguarding policies.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose:

The School Facilitator will work under the GESI Project, contributing to the creation of school environments that promote gender equality and social inclusion. The role focuses on empowering children by fostering their capabilities and aspirations and influencing GESI policies and practices in schools. The facilitator will be responsible for the delivery of project activities, ensuring that the principles of gender equality, social inclusion, and child safeguarding are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate Learning Sessions: Implement and lead gender equality and social inclusion training sessions for children in schools, ensuring children’s active participation, engagement, and empowerment.

Support Curriculum Integration: Assist in the integration of GESI principles into the school curriculum and classroom activities, helping teachers adapt teaching materials and methods to foster inclusive learning environments.

Monitor and Report: Monitor the progress of project activities at the school level, collecting data, reporting results, and suggesting improvements to ensure the project’s effectiveness.

Engage with Children: Build positive relationships with children, encouraging their involvement in gender equality discussions, activities, and promoting their rights and voices.

Support Safeguarding and PSEAH Policies: Ensure that all project activities comply with the organization's safeguarding policies, including gender, child safeguarding, and PSEAH (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment).

Community Outreach: Liaise with community members, teachers, and parents to raise awareness about gender equality, social inclusion, and the importance of creating safe and inclusive school environments.

Assist in Data Collection and Documentation: Assist in gathering feedback and data on project outcomes and children’s experiences, ensuring accurate documentation of activities, challenges, and success stories.
