Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum (B.Ed.) Bachelor degree in Education, preferably (M.Ed.) Master degree in Education ideally with specialization in Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Role overview: This position will ensure all types of technical support to ensure successful implementation of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) through 'Mobile Learning Centre' in Rohyinga Refugee Camp, Cox's Bazar. The specialist will ensure all sorts of technical support to develop contextualize ECCD curriculum; ensure a child-friendly learning environment; capacity building of mother/sister/aunt/ community youth volunteers through 'MESH guide'.
∎ The ECCD specialist will lead the process of showcasing 'ECCD Mobile Learning Centre' as one of the best innovations considering extreme constraint of open space at Rohyinga camp through mothers and sisters approached. Therefore he/she will develop different modules on ECCD capacity building for different types. Different organizations already started/going to start their intervention for early childhood development, and this position will focus to exchange learnings among different organizations. The EiE cluster and different institutions of Bangladesh Government are well functioning at Cox's Bazar, and this position will liaison with all forums/platforms to highlight VSOB's inputs for ECCD during Rohyinga crisis at Cox's Bazar.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Required work experience/skills:
∎ • Minimum 1-3 years work experience in early childhood education
∎ • Experience of course design and education program development
∎ • Practical knowledge of inclusive education strategies
∎ • Experience of designing and facilitating training workshops
∎ • Experience of working and living in developing countries, preferably in Southeast Asia
∎ • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation and training skills to majority non-English speaking audiences
∎ • Excellent written and spoken English
∎ Personal Qualities
∎ This individual should be:
∎ • A self-starter who learns quickl and works well in a team environment with minimal supervision, gaining staff trust and confidence so that outcomes can be achieved together
∎ • Adaptable: This is the key to living and working in Myanmar. At the personal level, the volunteer will have to make major adjustments simply to live and work in a different culture and environment. Volunteers need to demonstrate and practice patience and cultural sensitivity. This involves being non-judgmental and accepting of various religious and cultural traditions
∎ • Resourceful and flexible
