∎ In 1974, Radda Barnen (the then Swedish Save the Children), an international NGO, began the operation of the Centre as a project for providing maternal and child health care for the underserved and underprivileged population of Mirpur under Dhaka Metropolitan City.
∎ It was operated, managed and almost fully funded by Radda Barnen during the first two decades of its existence. In September 1994 with the objective of sustainability and continuous improvement of the quality services rendered by the Centre, Radda Barnen, with the permission of the Ministry of Health, Government of Bangladesh, handed over the complete responsibility of the operation and management of the Centre to a local organization under the name of Radda MCH-FP Centre Trust specially created for this purpose. This is a non-government, non-profit organization with a six-member Board under the Trust Act of 1882. Since then Radda Barnen (the then Swedish Save the Children) had been progressively reducing its financial support for the Centre and totally discontinued any support whatsoever in 2004 in contrast with 91 percent of the outlay in 1994.
∎ The Radda Paramedic Institute conducts two-years Community Paramedic Training Course under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It has got approval from the National Institute of Population Research and Training (NIPORT) and is affiliated with Bangladesh Nursing Council (BNC). As part of 24 months training curriculum, students follow 18 months curriculum of Family Welfare Visitor (FWVT) and 6 months midwifery curriculum approved by the NIPORT & Bangladesh Nursing Council.
∎ As a part of systematic effort to modernize the Community Paramedic training and ensure continuity of education in the face of challenges like Covid19 pandemic, RADDA is currently in the process of incorporating an e-Learning Platform. To manage the implementation and maintenance of the e-Learning platform RADDA is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic professional to start in the team from 15.10.2021
∎ Job Duration : 15-October-2021 to 31-March-2022 (5.5 Months)
∎ Job Location : Radda MCH-FP Centre, Section-10, Mirpur, Dhaka-1216.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for all RUN and CHANGE activities pertaining to managing the e-Learning Platform of Community Paramedic Training Institute (CPTI).
∎ Manage and update user roles, permissions, access and master date along with the educational content on the e-learning platform.
∎ Provide training to users and responsible for 1'st level support.
∎ Collaborate with external IT partner to troubleshoot all errors, user issues, security or network issues and necessary platform updates.
∎ Assist super users to create and upload appropriate e-learning content aligned with CPTI's educational curriculum.
∎ Ensure the quality of User Experience of the e-learning platform through internal reviews and new features and plug-in installation.
∎ Create strategies to grow student subscriber base and increase web traffic with a goal to continuously increase the stability of the platform.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Work experience as a web application or e-learning platform manager would be a plus.
∎ Knowledge of MySQL, PHP and HTML preferred.
∎ Knowledge of paramedical study curriculum in Bangladesh would be a plus.
∎ Ability to troubleshoot e-learning platform issues, user queries in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Sense of ownership, strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and pragmatic interpersonal skills.
∎ Fluency in Bengali and English, both written and oral are essential along with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
