- Strong knowledge of fertility treatments, reproductive endocrinology, and ultrasound scanning.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with specialists, embryologists, and nurses.
Responsibilities & Context:
Patient Consultation & Medical Assessment
Conduct initial consultations and take detailed patient histories. Perform physical examinations and assess reproductive health. Order and interpret fertility-related diagnostic tests, such as hormone profiling, ultrasound, and semen analysis.
Treatment Planning & Monitoring
Assist in developing individualized treatment plans under the guidance of senior fertility specialists. Prescribe and monitor fertility medications, such as ovulation stimulators or hormone therapy. Track patients’ responses to treatments through blood tests and ultrasounds.
Assisting in Fertility Procedures
Support procedures like Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and IVF cycles. Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure care instructions. Ensure proper coordination with embryologists and lab technicians for sample collection and handling.
Patient Counseling & Emotional Support
Educate patients about fertility treatments, success rates, risks, and alternative options. Address concerns related to infertility and emotional distress. Provide lifestyle and nutritional advice to improve reproductive health.
Medical Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate medical records of patients and treatment progress.
Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and fertility treatment protocols.
Assist in preparing reports for regulatory compliance and audits.
Emergency & Post-Treatment Care
Monitor patients for any complications arising from fertility treatments. Handle minor complications related to procedures like ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).Provide emergency medical support if required.
Continuous Learning & Research
Stay updated on advancements in reproductive medicine and fertility treatments. Participate in fertility-related training programs, workshops, and conferences.
Contribute to clinical research and case studies if required.
