Educational Requirements:
∎ Candidate must have Ph.D degree in environmental sciences, climate change, disaster management or social sciences from any reputed universities. S/he must be eligible for becoming professor in any reputed university of Bangladesh.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 16 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ BISR is a non-profit multi-disciplinary research organization. Its research findings have been published in 57 national and international journals. BISR is now inviting application from Bangladeshi scholars or foreign scholars having permission for working in Bangladesh for the position of Research Director (RD). The tasks of the RD include:
∎ Monitoring and supervising on-going research works to ensure completion within time, budget and right quality
∎ Fund raising for the research and project works for the organizations
∎ Preparing articles for world class journals and giving comments on and editing articles of other research scholars
∎ Preparing research proposals, concept papers, research reports and attending seminars, conferences, etc.
∎ Prepare yearly research and publication plan

Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have a proven record of fund raising for research and project works. Minimum sixteen years of experience in research or teaching works and having minimum sixteen articles as a single author or 30 articles as joint author published in international peer reviewed journals.
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Fluency in speaking English and good command over written English. Excellent computer operation skills. Able to edit reports, articles and oped.

Salary:
∎ Tk.100,000 (negotiable)
