Experience:

The candidate must have 15 to 20 years of experience with exposure to both industry and consulting business.For the industry experience, minimum 5 years of working experience in the core functions of a manufacturing company (production, maintenance, planning, supply chain etc) is required whereas for consulting experience we will only consider candidates with a minimum of 10 years of experience in any renowned consulting organisations (preferably in Big 4 or similar organisations). The candidate must be knowledgeable and experienced in areas like Operations Excellence, Business Transformation, Supply Chain Transformation,Logistics transformation, Asset Optimisation, Cost Optimisation, Digital Operations etc. The candidate should have above experience and knowledge across industries – particularly exposure and knowledge of industries like Metals & Mines, RMG & Textiles, Cement, Paper, Chemical, FMCG, Heavy Manufacturing etc would be preferred.

Desired areas of previous experience:

  • Manufacturing excellence and production process improvement

  • Maintenance process enhancement and good understanding of improvement tools

  • Cost reduction across multiple levers in manufacturing e.g. raw material consumption, manpower cost, maintenance cost, spares & consumables cost, and energy & utility cost

  • Technology driven interventions for manufacturing, maintenance and quality

  • Production planning and inventory optimization / working capital reduction

  • Familiar with TPM/ Six Sigma/ Lean methodology in manufacturing environment Demonstrated improvements in 3 or more of the following KPIs would be highly preferred:

  • Through put and productivity

  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

  • Customer service levels - OTIF/fill rates/stock-outs

  • Inventory reduction & working capital improvement

  • Maintenance – MTTR/MTBF; Preventive maintenance compliance

  • Quality - Defect rate, internal rejection, first time right, cost of poor quality

Education: Engineering Degree with MBA from premium schools as per PwC requirement

Candidate specifications:

  • Strong communication skills - written & verbal· Strong presentation skills and experience of having dealt with CXO level· Strong analytical skills

  • Delivery of tangible value on projects· Ability to lead projects across cross-functional teams

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Power Point

Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for experienced senior level professional for our Operations and Manufacturing Consulting practice with proven track record and adequate experience in developing and driving management consulting engagements with private sector clients.

Key responsibilities of the role may include:

  • Business Development/ Market Making: Connecting with the local Promoters/ CEO’s professionally and socially to identify potential transformation agenda, generating qualified business leads, opening the doors for PwC Management Consulting in the market, conceptualising the customized solution which would be beneficial for the client and finally supporting the Partner in closing the deal. Should be able to leverage local connects as well as subject matter expertise to strike meaningful conversation with the CXO’s of target companies. Should be able to take PwC One Consulting proposition effectively to the target market.

  • Project Delivery /Execution: Supporting the delivery team in sold projects using the subject matter expertise under the supervision of the project Partner. Working with PwC professionals and/or leading teams to deliver value to the client as per agreed scope and deliverables. Needs to be able to manage relationship with the client at the local level during project delivery by way of becoming a trusted partner of the client.

  • Domain Development: Contributing to the firm’s domain development initiatives. Support in development of assets and methodologies, development of point-of-view, research or white papers, support development of marketing collateral, public speaking and publication in industry periodicals.

  • Team Development: Supporting the Partner/ Executive Director in the development of the local team, by way of spotting high potential talents – fresh or lateral – from the local market. Keeping the team motivated on ground. Providing overall leadership to the local MC team on ground.
