Educational Requirements:
∎ A Qualified Chartered Accountant having CPA/ FCA/ FCCA qualification.
∎ MBA/ Post-graduation having major in Finance/ Accounting from a reputed University. Professionals having relevant foreign degree is highly encouraged to apply.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 7 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Banks, Investment/Merchant Banking, Micro-Credit, Multinational Companies, Overseas Companies, Group of Companies, Financial Consultants
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Complementing CFO in aligning financial planning and strategy with business planning and strategy and bring these into action through developing and implementing a comprehensive and appropriate financial policies and procedures.
∎ Provide overall leadership to the finance team and ensure that the finance operation is delivered in line with company policies and standards as well as in compliance with applicable law.
∎ Closely work with CFO in managing and supervising the preparation and audit of the consolidated financial accounts of ASA International and its subsidiaries (the "Group").
∎ Managing the Group's finance function, including budgeting and projections.
∎ Analyzing and reporting on the financial performance of the Company.
∎ Supporting CFO in evaluating and advising on the impact of long-range planning and introduction of new programs/ strategies, as well as the impact of short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
∎ Working with CFO to ensure compliance with the uniform system of accounts for the industry and IFRS by leading and directing the overall operations of the Finance & Accounts.
∎ Analyze cash flows, cost controls, and expenses to guide the Company's business partners. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint weak areas and take measures accordingly.
∎ Coordinate with Group Treasury, including funding, relationship management with all the Group, funders and hedging, etc.
∎ Management of the Group's asset and liabilities with the objective to minimize the Group's financial risks and exposure.
∎ Working with CFO to ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including Value Added Tax, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, etc.,
∎ Management and supervision of the application of the Group's management information system in liaison with the Group's IT department.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the CFO.
∎ The position will be reportable to the CFO.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Sound knowledge of finance and accounting principles, Audit/ income tax laws and best practices
∎ Solid knowledge on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
∎ Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
∎ An analytical mind with a strategic ability
∎ Outstanding organizational and people management skills
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
