America Bangla | U.S.-Based Bangla Digital Media

America Bangla is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Editorial & Digital Media Lead to oversee and continuously improve our overall media operations. This role will work closely with the Bangladesh-based team and provide direction, planning, mentoring, monitoring, and execution across editorial and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall editorial and digital media operations of America Bangla in coordination with the Bangladesh team.

• Develop and manage daily news, content, and platform strategies, identifying gaps and implementing action plans for continuous improvement.

• Oversee the news website, including content quality, coverage, workflow, and editorial gaps.

• Lead the digital content strategy across Facebook, YouTube, and other relevant platforms, determining what content should be published, where, and when.

• Mentor, coordinate, and monitor team members to ensure quality, consistency, productivity, and timely execution.

• Stay current with U.S. media trends, digital journalism, social media platforms, audience engagement, and content distribution.

• Understand and properly manage copyright, fair use, licensing, source attribution, and digital content rights.

• Translate leadership direction into clear execution plans and ensure effective implementation.

• Take ownership of new challenges, experiment with new ideas, and continuously look for ways to improve America Bangla's content, workflow, reach, and digital presence.

What We’re Looking For

• Mid-level media professionals with strong practical knowledge of both news/editorial operations and digital media.

• Prior experience working with a U.S.-based media organization, news outlet, digital publication, or similar media environment is required.

• Strong understanding of U.S. news, media practices, digital content, and social platforms.

• Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related degree is preferred, but not mandatory if the candidate has strong hands-on media expertise.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, coordinate, and manage a team.

• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to understand news across different topics.

• Strong knowledge of video content, social media, audience growth, and digital publishing.

• Strong understanding of copyright and content-usage policies.

• Highly proactive, adaptable, and willing to take on challenges.

• A hands-on problem solver who can identify gaps, take initiative, and turn ideas into action.

• Ability to work independently while effectively following and implementing organizational direction.

We are looking for someone who may not necessarily have many years of experience, but has strong overall media knowledge, digital expertise, leadership ability, initiative, and a genuine understanding of how modern U.S.-based digital media works.
