BRAC Health Programme is currently implementing Mental Health pilot projects to address mental health issues at the community level in collaboration with the National Control Disease Center (NCDC) and the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). BRAC will integrate mental health services with non-communicable disease (NCD) services through its community health workers (Shasthyo Kormi).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and operational guidance to Senior Officers (Mental
Health) to strengthen technical & operational competencies, service quality, and effective program
implementation.
Promote psychologist’s well-being by implementing burnout prevention, stress management, regular debriefing, and psychosocial support mechanisms.
Facilitate individual supervision of case management and personal hour on need basis.
Ensure strengthening the quality of identification, referral, and psychosocial support service.
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate staff training, orientation and capacity-building initiatives.
Monitor and follow-up of identified high-risk mental health cases by enhancing referral pathways
and coordinating with appropriate service providers and stakeholders.
Receive technical supervision from the BHP Mental Health Expert and cascade knowledge and skills to implementation staff.
Coordinate and oversee the implementation of field-based mental health activities across assigned areas through regular travel to multiple districts.
Conduct field monitoring visits, identify operational challenges, and implement corrective actions to improve program quality and performance in coordination with operation team.
Maintain close coordination with field operations, technical teams, internal departments, and other organizational programmes, serving as a bridge to ensure effective communication, operational alignment, integrated service delivery, efficient resource utilization, and timely implementation of programme activities.
Build and maintain effective communication and professional relationships with government
stakeholders, upazila & local health administration, community stakeholders, and relevant partner organizations.
Coordinate staff requisition, transfer, deployment, and orientation of newly recruited field staff in compliance with HR policies and organizational procedures.
Collect, compile, review, and submit accurate field reports, including narrative reports, case stories, meeting minutes, and other operational documentation within established timelines.
Ensure project’s compliance with the project proposal and protocols.
Perform any other programmatic, operational, or administrative responsibilities assigned by the supervisor to support organizational goals including emergency crisis management.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
