Responsibilities & Context:

1. Clinical Leadership & Quality Assurance

  • Assist in supervising medical staff (doctors, nurses, allied health professionals) to ensure compliance with clinical standards.
  • Monitor and improve patient care quality through audits, performance reviews, and evidence-based practices.
  • Implement and enforce healthcare policies, protocols, and accreditation standards (e.g., JCI).
  • Address patient complaints and clinical incidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken.

2. Administrative & Operational Management

  • Support the CEO in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for medical services.
  • Oversee departmental workflows, staffing, and schedules to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HR in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of medical personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (licensing, safety, infection control).

3. Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise between medical staff, hospital administration, and external agencies (government, medical associations, vendors).
  • Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and public health initiatives.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration among departments (nursing, pharmacy, lab, IT).

4. Research & Development

  • Promote medical research, continuous education, and adoption of innovative healthcare technologies.
  • Analyze healthcare trends and recommend improvements in service delivery.

5. Emergency & Crisis Management

  • Assist in disaster preparedness, outbreak response, and emergency protocol execution.
  • Ensure continuity of medical services during crises.
