∎ Background and Objective: The B-PEMS AugroJatra Climate Change project seeks to establish a comprehensive data management system that will serve as the anchor for learning, analysis, and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. This system will facilitate the capture, organization, and interpretation of critical data, empowering stakeholders to make data-driven choices that maximize project impact and effectiveness in addressing climate change challenges.

∎ Winrock has been implementing the B-PEMS AugroJatra Climate Change, a four (4) year project that started in October 2022 and is funded by the US Department of State (USDOS). Under this project, Winrock is collaborating with the government of Bangladesh, the University of Pennsylvania`s Penn Development Research Initiative (PDRI), and in-country partners at the local, regional, and national levels to combat human trafficking and research the links between climate change and human trafficking.
∎ Objective of the Consultancy: The Data Systems Specialist (Consultant) will play a formative role in building and sustaining a robust data management system for the project. Working closely with the Sr. Manager - Monitoring Evaluation Results and Learning of B-PEMS, the Consultant will ensure data quality, system functionality, and help the system facilitate data-driven decision-making. Collaboratively, s/he will work with the Program, Research, and Knowledge Management Advisor to collect research data and provide statistical analysis support. Furthermore, the Consultant will liaise with technical Program Specialists to understand reporting requirements and work closely with Regional Coordinators and designated staff of the implementing partners to timely collection and submission of routine data. This comprehensive approach will ensure a robust data infrastructure, empowering informed decision-making and driving project success.
∎ Time Period of the Assignment: One year which may start on 01 February 2024 and ends on 31 January 2025.
