- 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably in public health, clinical research, or humanitarian settings.
- Strong command of statistical software such as R, Stata, SPSS, or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Demonstrated experience in data cleaning, advanced analysis, dashboard development, and reporting.
- Experience with health program datasets (clinical, survey, EMR, monitoring) is highly desirable.
- Prior experience supporting research studies (design to analysis) preferred.

Position Summary
The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting data-driven decision-making for the NCD–Mental Health Project. The position requires advanced analytical skills to manage, analyze, interpret, and visualize program and research data collected from clinical services, community surveys, and monitoring activities. The Data Analyst will provide rigorous data support to improve program performance, contribute to research outputs, and guide operational planning through high-quality analytics.===
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Management & Quality Assurance
- Design and maintain structured databases to capture clinical, survey, monitoring, and operational data.
- Ensure data quality through validation, cleaning, consistency checks, and regular audits.
- Establish and enforce data management SOPs, codebooks, and documentation standards.
- Work with field teams to address data discrepancies and missing/invalid entries.
2. Data Analysis & Interpretation
- Conduct descriptive, inferential, and trend analysis using statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, Python).
- Analyze quantitative data related to NCD indicators (e.g., hypertension, diabetes control) and mental health screening/diagnosis outcomes.
- Perform advanced analytics such as regression modeling, multivariate analysis, time series analysis, cluster analysis, etc., as required.
- Generate insights that inform strategic decisions for program improvement and service delivery optimization.
3. Data Visualization & Reporting
- Develop dashboards, graphs, and visualization products using Power BI, Tableau, R/Shiny, or Python/Matplotlib/Plotly.
- Produce regular and ad hoc analytical reports, summaries, and visual briefs for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure reports clearly communicate findings, implications, limitations, and recommendations.
4. Support Research & Evaluation Activities
- Collaborate with the research team to support hypothesis testing, sampling strategies, and research design interpretation.
- Assist in data preparation for academic manuscripts, conference abstracts, and donor reports.
- Contribute to data sections of proposals, protocols, and monitoring frameworks.
5. Capacity Building & Technical Support
- Build the capacity of program and research staff on data quality, basic analysis, and data interpretation.
- Provide technical guidance for improved data collection and data entry practices.
- Support training on data tools, dashboards, and analytics workflows.
6. Coordination & Compliance
- Work closely with hospital IT, clinical teams, and program staff to align data flows and reporting needs.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards, data protection laws, and organizational policies related to data security and confidentiality.
- Contribute to the development and periodic review of data governance frameworks.
Working Environment & Conditions
Work is primarily based at Hope Field Hospital with regular collaboration across departments. Occasional field visits to data collection sites and community outreach activities may be required, with adherence to safety protocols.
