Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position will lead the financial management of the different funds that Start Fund Bangladesh is receiving from diverse donors and disbursing to different Start Fund Bangladesh member agencies. The award management and fund disbursements are the most fast and rapid actions of the Start fund Bangladesh. Specific tasks will include financial management and reporting to donors/funders, and contract management with the awardees. The person will also be working closely with different support functions of the Host agency to support the Start Fund Bangladesh team in their logistics and administrative matters. This position needs to ensure that the fundamental principles of logistic, administrative and financial management are followed throughout, all over the Start Fund Project according to Host agency policies. This includes ensuring transparency, accountability, consistency, compliance and integrity of resource utilization. S/he will closely work with Logistics and Administration teams in connection with organizing meetings/workshops/events/field visits related to Start Fund Bangladesh operations including the preparation and preservation of necessary papers/documents according to standard operating procedures.

∎ The position requires willingness to travel to remote locations within short notice and will be responsible for mentoring and coaching the financial focal of local member NGOs. The position will have understanding on how to prioritize the action and ready to lead actions with less supervision support. The position will act as an important point of coordination between Start Fund Bangladesh team and the Host agency in matters related to financial and administrative management.
∎ The position embodies strong financial insight, a strategic mindset and the ability to influence a variety of senior stakeholders and establish an effective systems and ways of working that is critical in setting up a robust Grants Management function that can manage several 8-9 figure grants.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of relevant working experience, particularly in grant / financial management and internal audit.
∎ Advanced knowledge on accounting components and its inter-linkages,
∎ Thorough knowledge on accounting practices in development organization and performance management,
∎ Basic understanding on Bangladesh NGO work and sound knowledge of statutory regulation, system design with development and sound knowledge of financial transactions analysis.
∎ Applied knowledge on logistic and administrative management
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal tactfully and sensitively with a wide range of people in a large organisation, often at a distance
∎ Excellent networking and relationship management skills
∎ Excellent analytical skills to provide guidance on qualitative and quantitative methods and to establish strong understanding of programmes
∎ Proven problem-solving skills in order to provide a range of practical solutions to operational challenges
∎ Excellent IT skills, including working with spreadsheets, word-processing, and presentation software, digital data collection tools, salesforce;
